I already submitted an inquiry to Angelfire Help about this, but their response didn't help me any. I'm hoping that maybe someone here might know what's wrong. Here's the problem I'm having:
When I try to go to the login page for Angelfire's Web Shell, basically it times out on me and an error message pops up that says "the operation timed out when attempting to contact ldbauth.lycos.com" This happened on Thursday & Today (Friday). Prior to Thursday, I hadn't tried to log in to Angelfire since Sunday night. I've tried rebooting my computer a few times and it doesn't solve the problem. I've spoken with two other Angelfire users and both of them are able to get to the login page and then log in to their accounts without any trouble. I can't even get the login page to come up for me.
After contacting Angelfire, the advice I got back was to check to make sure the security settings for my browser,
cookies, popup blocker, anti-virus software, router or firewall are not preventing me from accessing my account. I checked everything and I can't see anything that might be causing a problem. Then again, even though I know a little about computers, I'm by no means a tech whiz. This is the first time this has ever happened that I can't get to the Angelfire login page. And I'm not having any problems with any other sites that I regularly visit. I've tried clearing the cache, cookies, and all that...still the problem continues. I can't figure out what's wrong.
If anyone out there knows a way to solve this problem I'm having, I'd greatly appreciate your help. ;D
Thanks in advance.
