I've been trying to use dBpowerAMP to convert realplayer .ram files from AllAccess to mp3 files, but after repeated tries on two different computers, I have been unsuccessful. I'm hoping maybe someone can see where I'm going wrong. When I open dBpowerAMP, there is a box that requires you to "Select Music File(s) to Convert" from your computer. I wasn't sure how to select a .ram file as the files are on the AllAccess website (I've tried right clicking the links but you can't save them). The only thing I could think of was to go into Temporary Internet Files and select the .ram files that appear there. (I'm not sure this makes sense since the .ram files in temporary internet files are small, and they are probably just the links not the music file itself). Then, on dBpowerAMP, I select conversion from .ram to mp3 (I downloaded the realplayer codex from the dBpowerAMP site), and pressed go - but it hasn't worked once. I've waited for more than 5 min, and I know it's supposed to stay at 0%. If anyone can spot my error, that would be great. I can listen to the songs on Allaccess using the RealOne player, but I have no idea how to save the files so I can convert them. Thanks in advance.

ok i'll try to help... to save a file, you could just come here or anywhere where to post the link, then right click the file to save it. as for DBPowerAmp, you need Real Player 8, above that version doesn't work for some reason. Find Real 8 hereThen i assume you have the decompressor, as for the converter, it usually takes awhile but after a certain amount of time it will pass from 0% to 100%

to save a file, you could just come here or anywhere where to post the link, then right click the file to save it. I know that for some computers (including mine), they don't save the files correctly (i.e. they will ''save'' your file [48kb?] but still streams it in realplayer). There must be some sort of options in which you can click on the file, and they would ask you if you would want to open the file automatically or save it... Anyone know how to change this option?

You can convert any type of sound to a ".wav" file. What I usually do is just send the sound from out of the headphone jack back into the microphone jack and then record it to a ".wav" file using a the built in sound recording program (Accessories/Entertainment). After you have the ".wav" file, you can then save it as an ".mp3".

Thanks for all your help. I appreciate it. I typed in the direct internet link into dBpowerAMP, and it did eventually pass from 0% to 100%, though it didn't record. I will try again after downloading Realplayer 8. I am hoping that is the remaining problem.

I've noticed the last couple of days the RealPlayer 8 doesn't seem to be working anymore. Anyone else notice this?
