I put this topic here because the songs on this CD are from either the 80s, 1979, or 1990.
This was a 2-disc compilation released by a division of Capitol Records. The release date says 1995. My favorites have their numbers in bold.
CHR/Pop Peaks:
Disc 1 -
1. Joe Cocker & Jennifer Warnes - Up Where We Belong: #1 for 3 weeks in October 1982
2. Naked Eyes - Always Something There to Remind Me: #10 for a week in May 1983
3. Club Nouveau - Lean on Me: #1 for 2 weeks in March 1987
4. Thompson Twins - Hold Me Now: #3 for 2 weeks in April 1984
5. Glass Tiger - Don't Forget Me (When I'm Gone): #5 for the last week of September 1986
6. Teddy Pendergrass - Love TKO: Did not chart (EDIT: I've been told that it peaked at #2 on R&B.)
7. Kool & The Gang - Joanna: #7
8. Christopher Cross - Think of Laura: #6 (Both this and "Joanna" peaked at exactly the same time and spent the exact same amount of time at said peak - the last week of January and first week of February 1984. Needless to say, it makes for a nice coincidence given their listing on this disc. )
9. Tiffany - I Think We're Alone Now: #1 for the last week of October & first week of November 1987
10. Joey Scarbury - Believe it or Not (Theme from Greatest American Hero): #1 for a week in July 1981
11. Roxette - It Must Have Been Love: #1 for a week in June 1990
12. Culture Club - Time (Clock of the Heart): #2 for 3 weeks in June 1983
13. The Motels - Suddenly Last Summer: #5 for a week in November 1983
14. The Tubes - She's a Beauty: #9 for a week in June 1983 (Peaked at the same time as Culture Club)
15. Ashford & Simpson - Solid: #17 for a week in February 1985 (Personally, I wouldnt've put this on here. It's a really silly-sounding song. )
16. Sergio Mendes - Never Gonna Let You Go: #7 for the first week of July 1983
17. Wilson Phillips - Hold On: #3 for a week in June 1990
18. Ambrosia - Biggest Part of Me: #1 for all but the first week of May 1980
Disc 2 -

10. Spandau Ballet - True: #3 for the last week of September and first two weeks of October 1983
11. Marty Balin - Atlanta Lady (Something About You): ?? (chartboy's (chartboy from Pulse) site has an entry for this song, which means it charted, but has no other information. Someone fill me in on this one. It came out in 1981.)
