Has anyone heard the album? I thought it was pretty good by her standards and I thought it really demonstrated her growth as an artist (rather than a popstar a la Britney, Christina). I've never heard of most of the original versions of these songs, but I think she did a superb job. For what it's worth, it's a pretty good album.
Too bad this completely bombed.
My favourites include "Whole Of The Moon", "Mona Lisa & Mad Hatters" and "Have A Little Faith In Me".

The only track I have heard from this album is "Drop the Pilot." I charted it in my Top Ten earlier this year. I first learned of the track from UU-BRU Internet Radio, another contributor to this site. The 1983 original from Joan Armatrading actually is even better (IMHO) than Mandy's version.

I love this CD. I think Mandy breathed life into each song, in her own pop-ish way. It upsets me that people are saying this CD has bad covers. What's bad about them? They are all very easy on the ears. Not to mention, Mandy proves she's got vocal abilities. It's as if people want to see a cover the exact same way as the original, which is pretty stupid, IMO, since they complain about originals which are just like the originals. This is one of my favorite albums of 2004, and screw anyone who tries to tell me otherwise!
