Nas - Can't Forget About You
Music that makes sense is not just rhyming words and adding a bouncy beat and hi-jacking a melody. But, here NAS goes again. Same beats. Same whine. Same musical rip-off.
How come the Rap/HipHop world can't write melody's, they can only borrow (steal) them? (you know the answer.....)
Even the rap is dumb (example: When was the last time you heard a real anthem, Nas, the millionaire, the mansion,When was the last time you heard your boy Nas rhyme, Never on schedule, but always on time) but the beats are catchy, and Chrisette Michelle singing is good, but she is no Natalie Cole. Im sure Irving Gordon (the writer of Unforgettable) is rolling in his grave hearing this disaster.
All that said. It will be a hit. It has all the elements that todays audience takes the time to understand. Simple beats. Simpler lyrics. Familiar melody.

I have to tell the truth - I really like this. Very good choice for a second single, in my opinion.
