In a new pre-format change Detroit's the Drive, is letting the listeners pick the new format (or thats what Clear Channel claims). www.1067needshelp.com is the website where you can 'pick the future of the station". Currently you select 5 songs you'd like them to play (i did mine, a current country song , a couple of pop (rarely played) oldies, a classic rock album track and a mid-fifties blues tune, but havent heard any of them yet). The former air staff has all been let go, leading to believe this will be another "Doug" style stations whatever the format. A quote from a regional clear channel spokesperson was it was "Radio on Acid". Here's the playlist from one hour from the stations website: Enigma - Sadeness (Part I) Santana - Oye Como Va Montgomery Gentry - Hell Yeah MC Hammer - You Can't Touch This Boyz II Men - End of the Road Led Zeppelin - Heartbreaker Madonna - Papa Don't Preach Kirk Franklin - Hosanna Big & Rich - Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) 50 Cent - P.I.M.P. Bob Dylan - Lay, Lady Lay Nelly - Over and Over INXS - Devil Inside Shania Twain - That Don't Impress Me Much Rolling Stones - Paint it, Black Coldplay - Clocks Sammy Hagar - Give to Live Eminem - Encore George Benson - Breezin'

I've really enjoyed hearing Rock, pop, country and oldies/classic rock in the same place.
Here is another hours playlist:

Dinners Nelly - Work It Garth Brooks - Good Ride Cowboy Eric Clapton - I Shot the Sheriff Eminem - Mockingbird Lauryn Hill - Doo Wop (That Thing) Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me Feel Jamey Johnson - The Dollar Stevie Ray Vaughn - Mary Had a Little Lamb Mrr. Mister - Broken Wings Cam'ron - Hey Ma'
And Another Hour: Charlie Daniels Band -The Devil Went Down to Georgia Poison - Every Rose Has Its Thorn Tracy Lawrence - As Any Fool Can See Quiet Riot - Cum On Feel the Noise Gary Allan - Songs About Rain Judas Priest - Some Heads are Gonna Roll Tim McGraw - The Cowboy in Me Ratt - Round and Round Toby Keith - A Little Too Late Motley Crue - Looks That Kill Keith Urban - Tonight I Wanna Cry Guns N' Roses - Live and Let Die Brooks & Dunn - Red Dirt Road Foreigner - Juke Box Hero Rascal Flatts - Bless the Broken Road AC/DC - Have a Drink on Me

Interesting idea.
My vote would be a Pop station sans rap.

My vote would be an urban/rhythmic station (primarily hip-hop and R&B) with some pop.
