dear gawd, this song is not #1 material even for a crap ass countdown like MuchMusic, what the hell are they thinking?? Yeah, but it's MuchMusic... I have no idea what they base their countdown on. Is it the song? The video? I dunno. I sure as hell hope it's not the video, because 2 of the past #1 songs -- "Figured You Out" by Nickelback and "Everything" by Fefe Dobson -- both had ultra crappy videos.

I hate the MuchMusic countdown.
It's so behind, I mean, how old is that song? And, it takes songs SOOO long to move up. Once a song hits the top ten, they move up like one spot at a time, and then the #1 falls from 1-10... It's shit

The only two I can think of are "Tubthumping" in 1997 (7-1) and "Lady Marmalade" in 2001 (6-1). Speaking of which, the week Lady Marmalade did it the entire Top 10 was crazy. I wish I could list the Top 10 for that week but I don't remember it offhand. I think "Survivor" fell 1-8 that same week.

Agreed. Also, is "IBIATCL" just getting big up there now?

Agreed. Also, is "IBIATCL" just getting big up there now? As far as I know, it's already come and gone. MuchMusic is always slow at rising songs, then knocks them down really fast.

ah... memories of MuchMusic. I wish I still had it. Fuse sucks ass. actually, you wouldn't like Much anymore either... they've become cheap knock-offs of MTV, they barely play music videos, their TRL clone (MuchOnDemand) is played up to 4 times a day (3 times in repeat) and on week-ends had the brilliant idea to make a "best of MOD" show... i used to watch MuchMusic for many hours a day, but now, they have all these old MTV shows (Duets, Making the Band, Becoming, Cribs, etc.) The network has gone down horribly in the past year.
