The top 5 for May 31, 2007 Better Then - John Butler Trio Hello (I Love You) - Roger Waters The Story - Brandi Carlile Cant Stop - Ozomatli Rehab - Amy Winehouse The rest of May 31st, and all the charts for May are posted here: 31-13.blogspot.com/ A llittle bit of catch-up (the whole month!) (not sure if it will stay at blogger - im still playing with wordpress) other items (too lazy to post elsewhere) Summer's getting off to a slow start, with a bunch of tribute albums and upcoming "Classic Rock" tours (Def Leppard, Genesis, Police etc). Too many acts (new & old) seem to be using taped segments (i know, they'd rather call them sequenced, but digital or not, it is not being played....its programmed, which doesnt take any musical talent), so the show isnt much different then buying the CD., other then a "Hello Cleveland", "Good to see ya, Detroit". Even a 50's/60's group (The Crests) uses 'fake' parts in their live performances. (Cheaper for 5 then 10 i guess). We are only a few years away from not having any musicians............or singers in musical content. Thats digital for ya. Is Top 40/R&B (CHR) is now suffering the same splits that Pop suffered in the 80's................. (see article) www.edisonresearch.com/home/archives/2006/05/hiphop_falterin.phpWith or without DRM, is somebody watching your tracks: www.honoluluadvertiser.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2007706120314
