Four entries in the Top 40 this week from: -Arcade Fire -Incubus -My Chemical Romance -Lucinda Williams As mentioned in the commentary on the site, Lucinda's song is also the second highest chart entry of the year so far for the overall Top 100. The Arcade Fire also move up a collective of 92 positions this week. Three new entries in the album chart. And quite a shakeup for the overall chart including a possible new #1. I will mention that the overall top portion of the chart is fairly weak right now still. There's no one or two overwelming songs in the Top 2 or Top 5 or Top 10 so it is pretty much interchangable at the moment, which means potential for tons of chart movement again next week. It's all here: www.themaxonline.net/chart/index.html

While the album is not as good as her "Car Wheels........"(the re-issue of Car Wheels will be re--entering my album chart this week), i have played it everyday this month, so far. Don Imus on his Imus in the Morning (MSNBC on cable) show play a track (or part of one) by her almost every morning lately. Im still not sure of the Arcade Fire album, if i like it or not. I don't see a hit single, but there are a couple of good songs, but not for the general (star obsessive) public. MCR songs (to me) wear out quickly (due to overplaying) and stations should play more songs rather then the same song over and over. The really are not a singles band, and radio (& record companies) should not try to make them one. A couple of radio stations seem to use them as the 'hard rock' group/song of the moment and feel that they have paid their commitment to "rock" music on their station. It nice seeing a chart here, that has many songs that I've charted or consided charting..........an it's extremely nice seeing the Decemberists at the top of anyones chart here at M4B.

I love you. Well, in a purely platonic Iloveyourchart kind of way. Regina Spektor is #1!With a nice move from Mika, but boo for David Usher falling. >_> It'll probably fly high on my chart - anyway, lovely move for Blue October's "X Amount of Words", I really like that song, it has a similar appeal to me that "DARE" from the Gorillaz had, a haunting feel to it. Hehe, nice move for "Black Mirror", and nice moves for Pink, a great one for My Chemical Romance, Incubus, and "Keep the Car Running" which is so going to be #1 on my chart. Did you buy "Begin To Hope"? It kind of seems as if you did, #8 to #1 is no simple feat.

Yeah, I bought Regina's CD. lol! Not sure what to think yet but I'm warming up to it. I don't like to make hasty comparisons but voicewise, she does remind me of Tori Amos. Her 8-1 jump might look impressive but I regret to say that it's not really considering how weak the top of the chart to me is right now. Normally my #1 song is a song I'm super excited about. I do quite like 'Fidelity' though so it does deserve #1 but it's not as strong as previous #1s. David Usher falling is a result of him already spending five weeks at #2. I expect his fall to be softened when I get his CD as well. He probably won't see a bullet regain but he won't fall too fast just yet. Is the Blue October song even a single? I heard it was pulled. I can understand if it was since it is an odd choice for a single but I've grown to quite like it a lot. Definately deserving of a Top 10 placing! I might tend to agree with MCR not being a singles band. I'm actually not overly fond of 'Famous Last Words' as I was with 'WTTBP' even though I've warmed up to it a lot over the last few weeks. Their album is quite good but I think it's more of a complete-listen-to album as opposed to a song-by-song album. And Lucinda Williams, there's just something about her CD. I don't really know any of the songs from it just yet but I listened to it a bunch last week and I was just in the mood to listen to her. I think I might grow to really like her album and I'm gonna say that 'Are You Alright' could be in line to be a future #1! BTW, does anyone know if the Decemberists will have another single or if there already is one out? I love most of their album so they have a decent chance of maybe making it 2/2 on my chart.
