I made an entry for my own chart. Maybe it can serve as a basic template even though I have sections that others probably don't have on theirs and am likely missing portions that I'll add later. m4bcc.pbworks.com/w/page/32884585/The-Max-ChartI may start making sections for specific artists too. I'm wondering how much information is too much that isn't really relevant for us. I don't think we want to make them too long and try to keep it to personal chart related stuff.

I know this is likely not the right forum but it was the one that would likely get the most immediate attention.
I had a thought that I'm sure would go over well with people here and might help with building interest in the personal charts community a bit. How about an M4B Wiki page?
I know you can set them up somehow. I was going to set one up for my own chart but I figured it was pointless but if we had a bunch of us with our own charts, maybe we could set it up ourselves.
Basically, we could have pages for artists and for our own charts. So, for example, Katy Perry would have a wiki page with whatever biography we wanted to include (although maybe just keep it to M4B relevant stuff) and have all of her singles along with their peaks on whoever wanted to include their charts into it. Since anyone can update, we can each just update whatever pages we want with our own chart peak information. And with so many of us, it would only take days until there could be hundreds of pages for hundreds of artists.
Maybe also have really important or groundbreaking songs have their own wiki page too.
And the wiki page for our own charts can have the chart's history and information and of course can link to important artists' wiki's pages and stuff.
Thoughts?

Since my last post in this topic, this record has been broken by Owl City who jumped 80-1 a year ago.
Eminen and Rihanna could have shattered it but I think they went 98-9-1 perhaps.
I wonder if I'll ever have a 100-1 jump?

Is Illusions of Bliss Sarah's third single? I'm only now getting into Forgiveness. I'm not feeling this record much but am trying since I did quite like afterglow.

Hmmm, it has happened a few times I'm sure.
Using examples listed above:
Anybody Else But You (Moldy Peaches/Ellen Page & Michael Cera) -- these both charted the same time on my MT40 chart as separate titles. But on The Max chart, I combined them as one and it hit #1.
Boys of Summer (DJ Sammy/The Ataris)
Breathe (Greenwheel/Melissa Etheridge) (I don't think this did because I missed out on the Greenwheel version but am not entirely sure)
Heartless (Kanye West/The Fray)
Lady Marmalade (All Saints/Christina et.al)
My Humps (Black Eyed Peas/Alanis Morissette)
Time After Time (INOJ/Quietdrive)
Wavin' Flag (K'naan/Young Artists For Haiti)
If I include both of my charts, I charted 'Why' by Annie Lennox on my MT40 chart and 'Why' by DJ Sammy on The Max 100. And 'It's All Coming Back To Me Now', Celine's version hit #1 on MT40 and my Top 100 Max Chart by Meatloaf.

I think Eminem and Rihanna had the biggest jump on my chart when they leaped 98-9 earlier this year. I never really kept track of big jumps like that but that move made me take notice so it's likely the record-holder. My guess is that second place might be the 80-1 move that Owl City's 'Fireflies' took last year.

MB channels GaGa on new album
MB is nearly complete his newest as-yet-untitled album and says that it channels electro-pop sounds like that of Lady GaGa and Robyn. The record, like recent releases by GaGa and Robyn, isn't a full-length album but an EP that will contain at least 6 tracks. "It just makes sense nowadays," says the singer. "People are more into individual songs and I think making shorter records more often than a full-length album every few years keeps things fresh. I still fully support and love full records but my attention span for myself says to keep it short." Unlike past recordings from MB, this time around he fully embraces the latest trends in pop music. "Lady GaGa was definitely my biggest inspiration this time around. I was obsessed with The Fame Monster earlier this year and decided I need to make my own version of that." He also says the songs take a much less serious approach of songwriting. MB, who's known for writing personal events, has decided to try something new to match the style of music. Some song titles being thrown around include a mid-tempo song called Playlist as well as One Hit Wonder, a rap song in the same vain as Billionaire by Travie McCoy. The album also has no release date but MB says it will quickly follow the first single which he hopes will be out within a few weeks.

Northshore is the 4th single from Sainthood. There have been videos for Hell, Alligator and On Directing.
Lots of big names this week though!

It's been three years since the last record 'Sneakers On A Telephone Wire'. Last year, MB released a Best Of compilation. A full length album may be in the works but for now MB is planning on releasing an EP. "I've been growing on the recent ideas of GaGa and Robyn and I think a half dozen songs are easier to compile than 16 tracks. Easier to handle and get to know and in the era of iTunes, it's more about the song now. Not the album. I still love the concept of the album but the way I listen to music now is all about the shorter duration."
Not much else is known about the upcoming songs but MB has said that his most recent recording Professional Years was a segway into what his next steps would be. No dates or anything are being revealed either. An EP maybe in early 2011 and a new single in the fall.
