Glad to see Amy Grant get some love. People tend to forget how big she was in the early 90s and tend to overlook her.
Mamas & the Papas have some good stuff, especially the ones you listed. Creeque Alley is brilliant.
Natalie Cole, definite powerhouse. "Miss You Like Crazy" would easily be one of my top songs of the 80s. I would also give shoutouts to I've Got Love on My Mind & A Smile Like Yours.
Love The Coors as well. If you want a real good instrumental from them, I'd suggest Haste to the Wedding. I'd also throw Runaway in there.
Katy Perry is one of my most streamed artists, although she has had a few misses, she certainly has plenty of hits. Firework, Rise, Immortal Flame are also big for me.
Carly, Carole, Patti & Michelle also have some good ones.

My Favourite Song: Only The Lonely - 1982
Other Great Songs: Suddenly Last Summer, Shame, Forever MineI mentioned that the early 80s were huge for me. There were so many great ladies of pop on the radio whether solo or fronting a group. Martha Davis and the Motels had a short string of hits but their songs are long standing favourites of mine. My favourite Song: Dancing In the Street - 1964
Other Favourite Songs: Heat Wave, Nowhere To Run, Jimmy Mack
The 60's had many great girl groups but only two of them are represented on this chart. Dancing in the Street is one of my favourite songs of all time. But they had other good songs to help place them on this chart. My Favourite Song: Love Letter - 1990
Other Great Songs: Something To Talk About, Have a Heart, You Got ItDuring the early to mid-90s when Top 40 radio was moving towards grunge, dance and rap, the softer sounds of pop and AC was all I had until I discovered New Country. I became a big fan of Bonnie's easy going styles. My Favourite Song: I Am Woman - 1972
Other Great Songs: Delta Dawn, Angie Baby, Leave Me AloneEEk! Helen Reddy! You were forewarned. Hehehe. To be honest, what people call 70s "cheese", for me, I prefer this "cheese" over most of the lame crap played on radio the last 20 years. My Favourite Song: Killing Me Softly - 1973
Other Great Songs: First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, The Closer I Get To You, Tonight I Celebrate My LoveThe velvety sound of Roberta Flack solo or with one her many fine duets scored well with me. Killing Me Softly and First Time Ever I Saw Your Face are iconic. My Favourite Song: No Tears Left To Cry - 2018
Other Great Songs: Problem, One Last Time, Bang BangAriana started strong for me. Hit after hit. The last couple year it was hit after miss after miss for me. This last album is getting me back. My Favourite Song: Free Your Mind
Other Great Songs: My Lovin', Whatta Man, Don't Let Go (Love)Loved En Vogue. Loved that they dabbled in different song styles. Free Your Mind is one of my top songs of the 90s..and the video is amazing! My Favourite Song: Can't get It Out Of My Head - 2002
Other Great Songs: The Locomotion, I Should Be So Lucky, I Believe In YouIn 1988, loved Kylie, she had back to back number one songs! Then reappeared to North America 14 years later. A very welcome return to us Minogue-less. So many great jams followed. Did I say that right?? My Favourite Song: Would I Lie To You - 1985
Other Great Songs: Sweet Dreams, Here Comes The Rain Again, Walking on Broken GlassBefore Madonna came along, we all watched and waited to see Annie Lennox's look in her next video. Eurythmics videos became just as popular as their songs. Whether solo or part of the Eurythmics, Annie always delivered. My Favourite Song: Harden My Heart - 1981
Other Great Songs: Find Another Fool, Take Me To Heart, Take Another Picture
Quarterflash only hit my chart with 7 Top 10 singles but Harden My Heart, Find Another Fool and Take Me Heart are all big time favourites. Back then, in my teen years, I thought Rindy Ross was the closest to Pat Benatar..I stanned hard. I saw them in concert opening for Linda Ronstadt in 1982. Played their first 2 albums non stop back in the day. Still to come...we travel through the late 60s, disco and country

I liked the string of hits that the Motels had back in the 80's, particularly their pair of top 10's.
Martha Reeves just had some good Motown hits back in the 60's, and "Heatwave" and "Dancing In The Streets" among others have stood the test of time.
Bonnie Raitt is one of the best blues-rock musicians ever - her late 80's-90's comeback/breakthrough era I found was her best, in particular the "Luck Of The Draw" era and its two biggest singles are certified classics absolutely.
Not a Helen Reddy fan but I do admit she had a few songs I don't mind.
Roberta Flack had a few good songs back then, from "Killing Me Softly With His Song" to the Donny Hathaway duets all the way to "Set The Night To Music".
Ariana Grande is hit or miss for me. Most of her good stuff I found was from 2014-18, during which time she had five #1's on my chart. Lately she hasn't been as hot but I do like the singles from "Eternal Sunshine" so far.
En Vogue have a lot of great harmonies and their soulful sound just really ruled the sound of the 90's. I generally like their big hits the best from "My Lovin'" to "Free Your Mind" to "Whatta Man" to "Don't Let Go".
Kylie Minogue is an absolute legend. I enjoy her 80's stuff a lot, especially "I Should Be So Lucky" and "The Loco-Motion", but I really got into her with her 2000's comeback, especially "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" and the whole "Fever" album. I've definitely kept up an interest in her music ever since and keep checking for new music from her - and she keeps delivering!
Annie Lennox is an absolute legend. Love so many of her Eurythmics hits especially "Sweet Dreams" and her first two solo albums are pure gold too. One of the finest voices in music!
Quarterflash had some good songs back in their day - much like with the Motels, I tend to prefer the big hits the most, especially "Harden My Heart".

"Dancing in the Street" is iconic. Bonnie Raitt tends to be hit or miss for me, but also shoutout to "I Can't Make You Love Me" and "Just Like That" from last year. Forget what you hear, Helen Reddy is awesome. Also shoutout for "Candle on the Water." Roberta Flack is timeless. Whatever my equivalent to Sam I Am's "You Win Again" award for me, "Tonight I Celebrate My Love" was my 2022 winner. Ariana of course has quite a bit of jams, except for a couple of misses, no hate from here. Lots of jams from En Vogue. Also shoutout for "Too Gone Too Long" (another fine Diane Warren song). Kylie of course another timeless one. I would also shoutout "Slow," "On a Night Like This," and because why not "Your Disco Needs You." Annie of course another legend. Her rendition of "No More I Love Yous" is brilliant. Only familiar with "Harden My Heart" from Quarterflash.

My Favourite Song: Shut Up and Kiss Me - 1994
Other Great Songs: Passionate Kisses, Let Me Into Your Heart, Secret Keepers
Passionate Kisses was an important song for me. It was such a great song. That opened the door for me to discover the sounds of New Country. I then gave Faith Hill's Piece of My Heart and I was sold on country. What I like about Mary Chapin is that she wasn't "country" in the traditional sense. I really enjoy her songs. My Favourite Song: Fading Like a Flower - 1991
Other Great Songs: Dangerous, Sleeping In My Car, Spending My TimeFor Roxette's points, I was calculating songs that had Marie had on lead or duet vocals. So some Roxette songs didn't qualify for her points total. Roxette in the early 90s were unstoppable. Their punchie songs and soaring ballads really kept 90s pop alive for me. Sad that we lost Marie. My Favourite Song: I Heard a Rumour - 1987
Other Great Songs: Shy Boy, Cruel Summer, VenusLoved the light pop/dance sounds of Bananarama. Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, and Keren Woodward, the original line-up was the best for me. From 1983 to 1989, they scored a dozen hits with me. In 2019, Stuff Like that hit number one. But it's really the only hit post the original lineup. My Favourite Song: You Were Meant For Me -1997
Other Great Songs: Who Will Save Your Soul, Hands, IntuitionYou Were Meant For Me was huge for me. It was the number one song of the year for me. Really loved the string of hits for the first 10 years of her career. Her easy going sounds really helped her become of of my top acts of the 90s and 00s. My Favourite Song: Midnight Blue - 1974
Other Great Songs: Don't Cry Out Loud, You Should Hear How She Talks About You, Walk on ByMelissa has some solid songs in her repertoire. She certainly is a vocalist first. No twerking here! Her revisited version of Midnight blue with Dolly Parton is currently Top 3 for me. My Favourite Song: Aquarius/Let the Sun Shine In - 1969
Other Great Songs: (Last Night) I Didn't Get To Sleep At All, Wedding Bell Blues, You Don't Have To Be a StarMarilyn McCoo had a great run with the 5th Dimension and then a solo career. Not sure how many of you were familiar with her co-hosting Solid Gold in the 80s. She later became a regular on Days of Our Lives. My Favourite Song: Somebody To Love - 1967
Other Great Songs: White Rabbit, We Built This City, Nothing's Gonna Stop Us NowFor Grace Slick, her work with Jefferson Airplane and a couple of 80s Starship hits were considered here. For me there haven't been a big string of hits. But what there were made a huge impact. Somebody To Love and White Rabbit are among my all time favourite songs. And I don't listen to the "critics" We Built this City is a great fun track! My Favourite Song: Baby One More Time - 1999
Other Great Songs: You Drive Me Crazy, Oops I Did It Again, Hold It Against MeBritney, Britney, Britney. When she started out it was hit after hit after hit for me. Then I'm a Slave 4 U came out and it was what?!?! After that it was hit, miss, hit miss. She has put out some great records after that, but for me, there were plenty of stinkers too. My Favourite Song: Le Freak - 1979
Other Great Songs: Good Times, I Want Your LoveFor me, Chic have had 3 massive songs that are all time favourites of mine, then a few good songs. Yes, their success is truly because the masterful Nile Rodgers. But this list is celebrating musical ladies and Norma & Alfa have found a spot here. out on the floor. Freak out! My Favourite Song: See You Again
Other Great Songs: Wrecking Ball, Nothing Breaks Like a Heart, FlowersMiley started off with sweet pop songs. She certainly has matured over the years and put out alot of great songs. What I like about Miley in recent years, is she puts out quality songs. I find alot of todays female singers really put out mediocre songs that all sound the same. Miley gives it her all. She has the current number one song on my chart. coming up....a lil pop-punk, sounds of the 60s, and some country.

I don't know too many Mary Chapin Carpenter songs, but I really like "Passionate Kisses". Such a fun tune! Marie's vocals definitely defined Roxette's sound for me - "It Must Have Been Love" and many others just have such chilling vocals, I felt she was always shining most on their ballads. Bananarama just had some fun 80's pop tunes - I like basically all of their stuff from that decade, from the big hits to underrated bops - I feel their "Wow" album overall was strongest as I enjoyed the most songs from that one. Jewel's music is quite nostalgic for me as I associate it with my high school years - "Pieces Of You" is such a classic album and I feel her first decade or so was pretty strong. Melissa Manchester just has a very nice voice and I feel it suited her 70's ballad stuff quite well. However good that is, I actually prefer "You Should Hear How She Talks About You" despite being quite different for her - she suited 80's pop just as well! Marilyn McCoo I enjoyed much of her 5th Dimension stuff, mostly "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine In", "One Less Bell To Answer" and "(Last Night) I Didn't Get To Sleep At All", but I also enjoyed her Billy Davis duo hit "You Don't Have To Be A Star" as well. Grace Slick is an absolute legend. From the psychedelic rock of Jefferson Airplane (I still get chills from her "White Rabbit" vocals), to the soft pop of the 70's Jefferson Starship hits to evolving into an AOR powerhouse in the 80's ("Winds Of Change" and "Stairway To Cleveland" show off her talents very well), to her solo albums (I'd say "Wrecking Ball" is my favourite solo song from her) to the 80's pop-rock of Starship (I've always loved "We Built This City" and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" and I feel Grace is one of the main reasons why - even going into heavy metal on "Rock Myself To Sleep" worked well), there wasn't a genre she couldn't do well! Tagging our #1 Grace fan JessieLou, I'm sure she will have a lot to say about her queen of music! Britney Spears is also an absolute legend. She's definitely been one of my favourite pop singers of the past quarter century. Like you, "Baby One More Time" was the one that captivated me, and I still love it to this day - then "Oops... I Did It Again" just proved she could do it again! "Toxic" and "Everytime" definitely gave her more legs in the mid-2000's and while she hasn't made the same impact for me since, I still check out new music from her whenever it comes and even the Elton John duet was excellent. Still got a great voice and catchy tunes! I like Chic's music but I honestly couldn't name their female singers before your post. Still, their vocals combined with Nile Rodgers' disco grooves made for some funky dance floor fillers! And of course, Miley is a musical chameleon! I liked some of her earlier stuff, particularly "The Climb", but her antics for a while turned me off her. However, a resurgence happened in the late 2010's and I feel her music from 2019 on, particularly the "Plastic Hearts" album, has generally been fantastic. May she keep recording good music!

I need to catch up! I don't know any Mary Chapin Carpenter songs except I used to hear "Passionate Kisses" when I worked at Stein Mart, but what I DO know is that she's Harry Chapin's cousin! Here's who I like so far: Jennifer Lopez Melissa Etheridge Gwen Stefani Holly Woods TLC Vanessa Williams (wow, we were talking about her in the group chat last night!) Demi Lovato I guess (she's also been very inconsistent for me) Bette Midler (tbh I like her more as an actress than a singer but I don't mind a few songs) Katy Perry Carly Rae Jepsen Kesha I guess (again - very inconsistent for me) Carole King The Corrs Patty Smyth Michelle Branch The Mamas & The Papas Amy Grant Martha Davis Bonnie Raitt En Vogue (agreed on "Free Your Mind" - what an iconic song) Kylie Minogue Annie Lennox Rindy Ross Roxette (I am NOT typing her last name out lol) Bananarama Jewel (I loved "You Were Meant For Me" too) LKJRTH;KJLRDTHROIEDJKLTHILRO GRACE SLICK!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE SHUT THE f*ck UP! THE QUEEN OF MUSIC HAS ENTERED THE CHAT! Britney Spears Chic I second what FreakyFlyBry said about Grace. I love that she would touch any style of music. Not just soft rock, heavy metal, etc. - she even did a 15-minute Spanglish epic in "Theme From The Movie Manhole". IS THERE ANYTHING MY QUEEN CAN'T DO??? Similarly, this is also something I love about Linda Ronstadt, how she would experiment with different genres. And I'm sure she's still to come on here!

Mary Chapin Carpenter also has "he Thinks He'll Keep Her" which I like, as well as her song with Shawn Colvin.
Roxette has a lot of jams.
Bananarama you pretty much summed up the ones I know the most.
Jewel has always been a staple for me. I finally got to see her in concert in 2022. Hands of course is iconic, I would also give some love to the extremely underrated "Jupiter."
Melissa Manchester can certainly belt it out, but also have you heard her do the theme to "Little Nemo?" Beautiful!
Love Aquarius & Wedding Bell Blues from 5th Dimension.
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now has always been my favorite from Starship and their incarnations. Sara I enjoy quite a bit too.
Britney still iconic. As well as the ones you listed I'd add "Stronger" and "Sometimes."
Le Freak & Good Times I pretty much only knows well from Chic.
Miley has certainly been a rollercoaster. The Climb and Used to Be Young have been #1s for me.

Just cause Jennifer Lopez is 100 does not mean I dislike her at all. I am a big fan of female vocals, so I really like 'em all. Well not all....Meghan Trainor you aren't on this list or really wasn't in contention. But yeah Linda Ronstadt will appear but not for a while. Thanks for popping on

My Favourite Song: I'll Never Fall In Love Again - 1970
Other Great Songs: Do You Know The Way To San Jose, I Say a Little Prayer, Then Came YouDionne Warwick isn't known for a big belting voice. Yet, her husky voice was really big for me especially at the start of her career. My Favourite Song: Turn The Beat Around - 1994
Other Great Songs: Don't Wanna Lose You, Everlasting Love, Words Get In The WayFrom 1986 to 1999, Gloria hit my chart 21 times with and without the Miami Sound Machine. It was a real treat for her to return just last year with the superstar duet Gonna Be You. My Favourite Song: Til You Love Me - 1995
Other Great Songs: Why Haven't I Heard From You, On My Own, Does he Love YouReba was one of country staples for me in the 90s. Yet after the Natalie Maines' Bush comment, Reba decided to take a shot at the Chicks when she was hosting a Country Awards show. That did not sit well with me. History has shown us that Natalie was right. Reba was hit with a dislike weighting on this chart. I do like alot of her songs...but there it is. Hey Reba, the Dixie Chicks are still to come My Favourite Song: Downtown - 1965
Other Great Songs: My Love, I Know A Place, Don't Sleep in the SubwayThere weren't alot of big solo women hitting the charts in the 60s like we have seen in other decades. For me there was only a handful that had more than a handful of hits. Peula Clark was one of them. I loved her pop sound. My parents loved her too so I probably got it from them. My Favourite Song: Fighter - 2003
Other Great Songs: Come On Over, Beautiful, Genie in a BottleChristina was defiantly a hitmaker. She hit my chart 18 times, seven of those times hitting #1. Since 2011, I felt she just drifted away for me with miss after miss. My Favourite Song: Angel of the Morning - 1981
Other Great Songs: Queen of Hearts, Love's Been a Little Bit Hard on Me, Heart of the NightI said the early 80's were a favourite time for me. So many great artists and one of the Juice Newton. A lot of her songs are all time faves for me. The songs listed above score well on my all time favourite songs. My Favourite Song: Complicated - 2002
Other Great Songs: My Happy Ending, Head Above Water, Don't Tell MeCanada's "anti-Britney" is a favourite of mine. Where alot of ladies this century was hit and miss. There weren't very many misses from Avril for me. Solid string of hits for me. My Favourite Song: Jump (For My Love) - 1984
Other Great Songs: Fire, He's So Shy, Neutron Dance
So many great songs in their career. 1984's Breakout album was huge for me. The Pointers, Ruth, Anita & June really are one of my favourite girl groups. A shame we are only down to only one now. My Favourite Song: Hold On
Other Great Songs: Impulsive, Release Me, DanielOn this chart, here is the most successful of rock's second generation. From the Beach Boys and Mamas and Papas, Carnie, Wendy and Chynna ruled the early 90s for me. Aside from material from their own albums their covers of Daniel and Good Vibrations are a special treat. My Favourite Song: I Could Not Ask For More - 2001
Other Great Songs: I Keep Looking, Perfect, Suds in the BucketSara Evans broke out for me in 1999. Over the next decade, Sara hit my chart 11 times. Seven of those times, number one songs. My top song is a cover of the Edwin McCain song. I prefer Sara's version. ...up next the top 50.

I like Dionne, Gloria, Avril, Pointer Sisters, and Wilson Phillips, but my favorite out of those is definitely Christina. When "Stripped" came out, I used to play it every single day after school!
Also, Meghan Trainor sucks.

My Favourite Song: Who Says - 2011
Other Great Songs: naturally, Love You Like a Love Song, Same Old Love.In 2010 Selena Gomez broke out fronting The Scene. And she put out some nifty numbers. In 2013, she dropped The Scene and the good songs continued to follow. She really was becoming a favourite of mine until 2016-2017. Her songs then ranged from good to mediocre. Wolves in 2018 was her only chart-topper for me. I am not sure what happened but I think it had something to do with the way she started "singing" her songs. She no longer was belting out her songs instead it was something how I described as talk-singing. This was a style of singing that was trending with a lot of other singers at the time continuing to today. Very few people actually SING anymore. However, the first 5 to 6 years of her career, Selena certainly earned her place smack dab in the middle of my countdown. My Favourite Song: Respect - 1967
Other great Songs: A Natural Woman, Chain of Fools, Spanish HarlemThe Queen of Soul, Aretha, is truly an icon. What else needs to be said. I was a bigger fan of her 60s hits. This girl really sang. She had a alot great songs in her career including great duets with George Michael, Whitney Houston and The Eurythmics. My Favourite Song: You Oughta Know - 1995
Other Great Songs: Hand in My Pocket, Ironic, Thank UYou Oughta Know is easily one of my Favourite songs of all time. Alanis is one of seven Canadian ladies to grace this chart. I liked Alanis from the start, I was there when she was bopping with "Too Hot" in 1991. Since then 20 other hits followed including 5 number one songs. My Favourite Song: Bette Davis Eyes - 1981
Other Great Songs: Voyeur, Crazy In the Night, Don't Fall In Love with a DreamerWhen Bette Davis Eyes came out I stanned so hard. I drove my family nuts with this. It was certainly one of the biggest songs to hit my chart. During the early 80s, Kim could do no wrong. She was easily one of my top acts that decade. My Favourite Song: Everytime I Cry - 1998
Other Great Songs: When Boy Meets Girl, Emotional Girl, You're Easy on the EyesBack to the 90s and the ladies of country. Canada's Terri Clark was a big part of the 90s country for me. Great songs with such a positive feeling something I wasn't hearing much in the pop world at the time. My Favourite Song: Strut - 1984
Other Great Songs: Telefone, The Lover In Me, What Comes NaturallyBack to the 80s here for this Scottish gal. Whether she was doing ballads or belting out bangers, Sheena was there. I see that she is finally performing live again. I really wish she would return to putting out new music, its' bee far too long. My Favourite Song: In Your Room - 1989
Other Great Songs: Manic Monday, Walk Like an Egyptian, My Side of the BedSusanna Hoffs, leading the Bangles put out only three albums in their heyday. But they were packed full of great songs. Susanna was a fine soloist along with being a great frontwoman for the Bangles. My Favourite Song: I would Die For You - 1993
Other Great Songs: Could I Be Your Girl, insensitive, Where No One Knows Me The non-Canadian readers out there might think of Jann being a one-hit wonder with the song Insensitive. But here in the "Great White North", Jann had a very successful singing career. I would describe Jann as a happier Sarah McLachlan. I've see Jann in concert a couple of times and she is a delight. Good songs and fantastic sense of humour. My Favourite Song: I'll Be Your Shelter - 1990
Other Great Songs: With Every Beat Of My Heart, Heart of Stone, Don't Rush MeI'll Be Your Shelter was huge for me. My number one song of 1990 and to this day, one of my favourite songs of all time. Taylor is another one who can do it all whether is crooning a ballad or belting out a banger. Glad that Taylor is still out new music. My Favourite Song: Straight Up - 1989
Other Great Songs: Cold Hearted, Opposites Attract, Rush RushBack in the early 90s when I saw Paula in concert she blew me away. Back then, My young self thought she was better than Janet Jackson who I saw previously. Paula didn't have to sing like Celine Dion...she didn't have to. She put out alot of memorable songs.

Dionne Warwick is a legend. From her Burt Bacharach songs in the 60's to her 70's period as "Dionne Warwicke" and comeback in the 80's, including one of my favourite songs of hers "Heartbreaker", she just has a great voice and the best songs to showcase it. Gloria Estefan is one of the finest Latin pop singers ever - love her 80's classics and she had a bunch of great 90's hits as well. I generally prefer her on uptempo dance songs such as "Conga". Reba McEntire is an absolute legend in country music - so many classic songs. While I don't know as much of her stuff as I perhaps should, I do like several songs of what I do know, with "Does He Love You", both original and remake with Dolly Parton being her best to me. Petula Clark had so many classics back in the 60's, of course "Downtown" being her ultimate classic and just a feel good song. Christina Aguilera for me was just unstoppable for her first decade - and I feel that greatest hits topped off her period of her career very well, with "Genie In A Bottle", "Fighter" and "Hurt" all being all time favourites of mine. Shame she started to slip after that, but her classic period will always have appeal for me. Juice Newton just had a great hit streak in the 80's, her "Juice" album in particular, with "Angel Of The Morning" and "Queen Of Hearts" was her best era. Avril Lavigne is awesome. Loved her first two albums in particular, but she's had many great songs since and I feel "Love Sux" was a strong return to form for her. So glad I got to see her in concert about 2 years ago. The Pointer Sisters had great harmonies, and I feel they did so many styles quite well. From doo-wop inspired R&B to country to yacht rock to dance-pop, I enjoy most of their big hits, with their 1982-85 period resonating hard for me. I'm so excited to see them in here. Wilson Phillips had a very strong debut album for me - "Hold On" and "Release Me" in particular are songs I've always liked. Liked a few from the follow-up album as well. Sara Evans has had a few good songs over the years, I surprisingly felt her best stuff was her recent foray into covering classic rock back in 2020! I liked Selena Gomez from 2009 to about 2014, and feel her songs from then were great pop songs that held up well, "Come And Get It" being my favourite. However, after that, she really slipped for me when she became a whisper queen, and just constantly annoyed me. Thankfully last year, "Single Soon" was a surprising return to form. Aretha is absolutely legendary, what more is there to say about the Queen of Soul? Obviously "Respect" is her anthem and classic, as are many of her other big 60's hits, but I also enjoy her 80's comeback era a lot with the Narada Michael Walden productions, her voice really still shone strong then! R.I.P. Alanis... another one who is a huge favourite of mine. "Jagged Little Pill" is one of those all time classic albums with no skips, and ever since she's continued to do quality music, with every era having its highlights. Another one I'm glad I got to see in 2022! Kim Carnes just has one of those distinctive voices you can always spot! I enjoy her 80's hits, particularly the obvious classic "Bette Davis Eyes". I honestly don't know a single Terri Clark song, so can't comment there. Sheena Easton just had a great run back in the 80's. "Morning Train" is still a huge classic but I do enjoy her Prince-produced era as well. Susanna Hoffs just has a great voice, love her work with the Bangles, particularly on their big hits, but she had some good solo work in the 90's as well. Jann Arden is just a great songwriter, her first few albums were just packed full of well-written hits, particularly "Living Under June", which in my mind is another of those no-skip albums. Taylor Dayne is another one of those powerful voiced divas. Love both her uptempo dance songs such as "Tell It To My Heart" and "With Every Beat Of My Heart" and power ballads such as "Love Will Lead You Back". Kinda ironic she outranked Selena Gomez given I feel she remade "Lose You To Love Me" better than the original And Paula Abdul's first two albums are very nostalgic for me - just packed with great songs! Her songs were unescapeable back in her heyday, and songs like "Straight Up", "Forever Your Girl" and "Rush Rush" just take me back.
