It hit me moments ago, when I updated the date on my current chart, that the 4th annversary of 9/11 is just around the corner. Gee, What a "perfect" compliment for the Katrina disaster. My city has opened up an expo center to take in 1000 Katrina refugees. The group includes 120 children. I know the woman who has been hired to teach ALL of the kids in K, 1st, and 2nd. She starts Monday.
Thanks for checking out my latest chart! The link is located underneath my soulDecision banner.
Have a good week, and please take time to count your blessings as you remember those who have lost so much.

Ryan Cabrera almost in the top 10. Hopefully he gets there soon.
Kelly Clarkson the greatest gainer! That's great to know. BOY is a great song for the fall.
Nice to see DHT has the most weeks out of all the songs on the top 40.
Hilary Duff top 30! She deserves to be much higher.

An excellent move into the top 10 for BEP, and an even better one in the top 20 for Kelly Clarkson Nice 3-spot jump for Fall Out Boy and great to see Mariah debut!

Ryan Cabrera almost in the top 10. Hopefully he gets there soon. Fret not, Sean! Ryan definitely is headed for the top ten ... and probably the "top one," too! I really like this one. It's the "sound" I've been missing from the "Breakaway" singles. Gosh, they have been around for a long time now, haven't they? Over half a year! I dunno, Sean. IMO, this is no "Fly," which hit #1 on my chart about 11 months ago. It's also no "Come Clean," which hit #2 on my list and remains her biggest point-grabber. While I find myself tapping a toe to the current tune, I don't know that it's going to hang onto its bullet much longer. Thanks, as always, for stopping by! Have a great week. ;D

Thanks for hopping in and taking a look around my chart this week. ;D DHT are about to break the record for most weeks-on-chart without hitting #1. So far, the record belongs to MercyMe with "I Can Only Imagine." That Christian-crossover track spent 28 weeks on my chart, but it never climbed higher than #4. It did end up tying as the 2nd biggest hit of 2003 on my chart, so ... that means it actually ended up higher on the year-end list than it ever appeared on a weekly chart! D.H.T. could have the same result as they are over 500 points, and I don't think anybody else is within striking distance for my top track of the year. The only other "big" point-grabber I can recall this year is Wilfred Le Bouthillier, and I don't think he went over 500. I guess I'll know when I do the year-end tabulations...!

I always appreciate your weekly visits to my chart "oasis." Glad you found some moves to your liking this week! FOB are going much higher. They just got caught in a bit of a jam last week, so ... expect a much bigger move on my next chart. I enjoy the new Mimi tune, but not nearly as much as "We Belong Together," so we'll have to see if the follow-up even cracks the top ten. I actually already am interested in finding out what the next single will be!

It's great to see Donna Summer moving up with I Got You Love, it's a nice dance tune! Hola, Amigo! ;D Hey, I have a student from Costa Rica. Her name is Ilka. Do you know her? Well, OK, so maybe that's not quite enough information to identify her, but ...! Anyway, thanks for stopping by this week. That Donna Summer song is a grower. I am glad to hear something new from her. I wish she would put out an album of bona fide new material. I am sick of the repackaged greatest hits that we get every 2 years!
