The ABBA song was a great comeback - I definitely got "Dancing Queen" vibes there. The Astrid S song is my favourite from her so far. Definitely enjoyed a lot of Scandinavian pop lately I think the newer Steps stuff ranks up there with their classics. Kylie's cover was very well done.

It's on to the TOP 50 songs of 2021
50 - Olivia Newton-John & Chloe Lattanzi - "Window In The Wall" (20 points)
This song was introduced to me by a friend who is normally into hard dance music, and this is anything but. I didn't even realise Chloe is Olivia's daughter until he told me. It's really nice-sounding and something a bit different, and surprisingly has ended up with a year-end top 50 hit for me.
49 - Delta Goodrem - "All Of My Friends" (21 points)
I was certainly into the easy-listening tunes it seems this year. From her 5th studio album, this was another really-nice piano tune from Delta which eases into a gorgeous orchestral. She's definitely no stranger to Top 50 Year-End's for me, as is evident by more songs to come
48 - Natalie Imbruglia - "On My Way" (21 points)
Wow, it's a good start for the Aussie women so far! How amazing was it to finally get new music from Natalie! One good thing to come out of 2021 at least, as outside of the music-world it was pretty dismal. She still knows how to make a decent tune!
47 - Tate McRae - "Rubberband" (21 points)
So, when I was growing up, rubber bands on one's wrist meant something specific, especially if they were coloured black and someone who was interested in you broke one of them That's probably not a thing these days (who knows), and Tate seems to be using it as a discipline rather than where my mind went with this. Either way, I like it's message and it's chorus, as it's the first song ever from Tate to make it into a year-end chart for me!
46 - Maisie Peters - "John Hughes Movie" (21 points)
I swear I am not a certain banned board-member who used to always chart this artist, but I may not have known of her if it weren't for his charts. I was never into much of the earlier music from Maisie, but this one suddenly stood out! And it's only since this song came out that I've been watching movie's and have actively noticed "John Hughes" in the opening credits. Really nice-sounding and lyrically catchy (also love the choreo in the music video) and also the first Year-End song from Maisie for me.
45 - Lea Heart - "Older" (22 points)
The only song in the top half of my year-end chart that didn't make my Top 10, this was one of those songs that hung around in my Top 20 for something around 4-months. I found myself rotating it on my playlist quite often and not getting over it as quickly as I can do with other tracks.
44 - Why Don't We - "Fallin (Adrenaline)" (26 points)
The current-day American boyband who know how to release catchy music! Quite enjoyed this one which gained quite a few points early in the year.
43 - LOVA - "Dance For The Hell Of It" (31 points)
A song that I only discovered through the M4BCC Song contest, this quickly became a chart hit for me!
42 - Mia Wray - "Needs" (31 points)
Another song that with a Top-20 stayer for me this year, it briefly entered the lower-half of my Top 10. I was enjoying this one from Mia, and is the first song from her to chart and Year-end chart for me.
41 - Hanson - "Nothing Like A Love Song" (31 points)
Wow. First debuting for me in the very second week of the elibigle chart year, this one was damn catchy from the grown-up Hanson boys. Very impressive music. Doesn't the younger one have like 3 kids of his own now?

Three iconic Australian leading ladies there - Olivia, Delta and Natalie! Also good to see Hanson make it in, their best in a while

40 - Sons Of The East - "You Might Think" (31 points)
Well this was a nice surprise. Sons Of The East get their first charting song and a Year-End Top 40 for me with this easy-listening single.
39 - Kylie Minogue & Jessie Ware - "Kiss Of Life" (32 points)
Wait, a Kylie duet not in the Year-End Top 10?? Well it has only been charting for a few weeks and is curently in my chart's Top 10 so it was probably a big ask for the Year-End, but still, trust Kylie to still end up in the Top 40 of the year with such a new song. And it's Jessie's second Year-End, after "Champagne Kisses".
38 - Paloma Faith - "Gold" (32 points) - 1 week at #1
Well, we're into the Top 40 now, so the #1's will start to appear. The first #1 song appears here! Okay, this music video was as funny as Paloma herself is. Seriously, go watch her in interviews, she is a delight. I loved this song as it spent time at #1 across both 2020 and for one week in 2021
37 - Tyne-James Organ - "Not Ready For Love" (32 points) - 1 week at #1
And here's another! This was last year's #11 Year-End song, so I was pretty obsessed with this one from Tyne-James. I still can't wait to see this guy perform live one day.
36 - Jonas Brothers - "Who's In Your Head" (33 points)
Another great song from the Jonesai!
35 - Rina Sawayama - "Enter Sandman" (33 points)
Omg! What a cover this was! So unexpected and it just blew my mind. Three cover songs have appeared in my Year-End chart this year, and this is the highest
34 - Jake Hoot & Kelly Clarkson - "I Would've Loved You" (35 points)
I can always trust Jekky to release a good tune, and an awesome duet with Jake Hoot this was!
33 - Delta Goodrem - "Billionaire" (35 points) - 1 week at #1
Delta is up to three appearances so far! Definitely a good year for her. This was probably the closest to country I've heard her go.
32 - Alaska Thunderf*ck - "Red" (35 points) - 1 week at #1
I said this when it went #1, but again, it's not often a drag queen makes a #1 on my chart. Another song introduced to me by a friend, I found myself really liking it. Alaska's first entry!
31 - Aly & AJ - "Slow Dancing" (42 points)
I'm so, so glad that Alison and Amanda have been releasing new music, as I had relegated them to one-hit-wonders back in 2007 with "Potential Break Up Song". Having said that, they've only ever made a peak of #92 here in Australia with a song that wasn't even that. Thankfully I don't notice the charts and absolutely loved this gorgeous song from them this year.

Good to see Kylie/Jessie in here, their voices went so well together I like the Jonas one but feel they've had better. The Rina one pleasantly surprised me, she definitely did justice to the Metallica classic! Also good to see Jake/Jekky and Aly & AJ too

Window in the Wall is good but sadly missed here and of course Something In Your Eyes is just a pop gem.
