Patrick Stump was one of the special guests at this weekend’s virtual Summer Shake Up fundraiser, an event which raised money for Chicago animal shelter One Tail At A Time. And not only did he delight fans with a Fall Out Boy classic during the performance, he also unveiled a surprise Van Morrison cover. “Hi, everybody!” the singer and guitarist said as he was welcomed on to the stream. “I hope everybody’s having a good time there in your home… because we can’t go anywhere – none of us can. But let’s raise some money for some dogs, ’cause I love dogs, and I would hope that you love dogs just like I do.” Then, Patrick proceeded to perform FOB’s mega-single Sugar We’re Goin’ Down on his acoustic guitar, before then attempting a song by the legendary Northern-Irish singer-songwriter. “I hope you like Van Morrison, by the way!” Patrick joked. “Let’s see how this goes…” He then took on beloved folk-rock single Caravan, which is taken from Van Morrison’s 1970 album Moondance.
