So, I know there are some people here who might have listened to him, mostly because we have quite a few canadians here. What's your opinion of him? I remember listening to him several years ago and thought he was 'nice'. But I've been revisiting his music lately, and he has gone in what reminds me of a career like Brigitte Fontaine (particularly her work in the past decades), where you see a pop direction, sometimes sprinkled with some sounds or motifs or whatever that make me go "Whoa, this is so avant garde!" Not to say he is, but he is definitely pushing the boundaries in the places I like the most. Can anyone tell me how is he regarded in Canada? Actually, anything you can tell me about his music, if you like it, if anything at all. I'm eager to read people's opinions on him. Thanks!!!

Pierre Lapointe (born May 23, 1981) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. His work largely follows in the tradition of French chanson, though he is influenced by modern pop music.[1] Defining himself as a "popular singer", he has built an egocentric persona of a dandy onstage, but says he does this mostly to deflect attention from himself.[2] His records have found critical and commercial success in Canada.[2] i saw him 6 times in concert and some interviews with him And my last.fm with the scrobbles : www.last.fm/user/Fredz_84/library/music/Pierre+Lapointe

I like his new one "Toutes Les Couleurs", which debuted this past week for me.
