This was a record breaking #1 in Australia, also topped the UK charts and now is on the verge of taking over the US charts. I read tonight that it is now the #1 most downloaded song on iTunes.
All I can ask myself about that is... why? This is one of the worst songs I've ever heard, the beat and lyrics are obnoxious and calling the singer a singer is an insult to people who know how to sing.
This is somewhere between a slight play and a slight trash for me. I don't hate it, but it's not something I would chart or willingly listen to. There are so many other songs that are more deserving of being a hit than this one.
I started out thinking 'meh' with this song, and then it just blew up for some reason. It's heading toward it's 20th week at #1 here which is just insane. Her story is quite sweet and her speech when she won 'Best Female Artist' at our recent ARIA Awards made me shed a tear. I prefer some of her other songs but this one's really grown on me. My friend was like, "I thought she was using so much autotune, but then I saw her on Fallon and realized she IS the autotune!"

I absolutely can't stand this song. It gets played nearly everywhere and everytime I must hear it I can only think why do they like this song. By the way this song has spent 12 weeks at #1 here in Austria (from 09-20 to 12-6).

Love, David: Happy New Year, My Phun.Gus Phriends! HOLLA! And remember: Alcohol does NOT solve anything. Then again, neither does milk, so... what am I saying? Who the hell knows? I don't even know how I ended up in this box. -Another unforgettable quote from #Phun.Gus

Hervard: Did you hear about the morons that were found frozen to death in their car at a drive-in movie theater? They went to see the movie, “Closed For The Winter”.
