240. She Moves – “Breaking All The Rules” (1997)Always loved this song, I used to hear it all the time on the legendary channel 14 (only Unkie will know what that is but meh). This should’ve been a bigger hit than it was. 239. Sarah McLachlan – “Sweet Surrender” (1998)For years my favorite song of hers was “Adia”, which is a song I’m very nostalgic for and was the first single I ever owned. However, while I still love that one, this has actually aged better for me. Loved this in 1998 and still love it today! 238. Red Hot Chili Peppers – “Soul To Squeeze” (1993)My favorite from them. Excellent song! 237. Mariah Carey – “Dreamlover” (1993)Classic 90s song with a great video too! One of her best. 236. Jefferson Starship – “Be My Lady” (1982)Although my favorite single from this album was the title track, “Winds Of Change”, I absolutely love this one as well. And Grace looks GORGEOUS in the video! Gee, talk about stating the obvious. I might as well have said the grass is green. 235. Kansas – “Carry On Wayward Son” (1977)This was always one of my favorite 70’s songs! Just an iconic classic rock song. 234. Def Leppard – “Love Bites” (1988)Those who were around here in 2006 probably already know how much I love this one. One of their best for sure! 233. Jefferson Starship – “Jane” (1979)Yes, Grace wasn’t on this album as she left Jefferson Starship a year earlier after her "Who won the war?' incident in Germany. But even without the queen of music, Jefferson Starship were able to make a solid album in "Freedom At Point Zero", and this song in particular is one of my favorites from the band (although it would probably be higher on this list if Grace was on it. ) 232. Damn Yankees – “High Enough” (1990)One of my favorite power ballads ever! Love this song. Both of their albums were really good too, especially the first one. 231. Deep Purple – “Space Truckin’” (1973)My favorite from them! Such a bop!! 230. Something Chad Kroger wanted you to look at in 2005. 229. The first music video by a female to be played on MTV. 228. The title track from my favorite Grace Slick solo album. 227. My favorite track from Jefferson Airplane's 1989 reunion album. 226. One of Jefferson Airplane's most well-known songs, as it was featured in the movie "Forest Gump" as hell as commercials for Tommy Hilfiger. 225. #1 alternative hit from 1996. 224. A 1994 hit with a music video that Beavis & Butthead loved. 223. According to an MSN fungus quote of mine from 2005, not only do I love this song, but I also apparently love Bebe Reptar. 222. A song written by Crosby, Stills, and... Kantner?! 221. #1 Hot 100 hit from 1975.

230. Def Leppard – “Photograph” (1983)One of the first songs from them I ever loved, and was an early favorite of mine when I first started getting into 80's music. Excellent song! 229. Pat Benatar – “You Better Run” (1980)ICONIC song. ICONIC video. One of her best! 228. Grace Slick – “Wrecking Ball” (1981)My favorite solo song of hers. Kicks so much ass unlike a certain 2013 song of the same name! 227. Jefferson Airplane – “Freedom” (1989)My favorite song from their 1989 reunion album. Grace, as usual, sounds absolutely phenomenal. 226. Jefferson Airplane – “Volunteers” (1969)This one is a CLASSIC and was an early favorite of mine during the beginning of Slickmania. Love it. 225. Bush – “Swallowed” (1996)The song that got me into them, one of their best. 224. Beastie Boys – “Sabotage” (1994)90’s classic with one of the best music videos ever. 223. Alanis Morissette – “Forgiven” (1995)This was always one of my favorites on Jagged Little Pill. Excellent song! 222. Jefferson Airplane – “Wooden Ships” (1969)When I first listened to Volunteers, this was an immediate favorite. This song was written by David Crosby, Stephen Stills, and Paul Kantner and both Airplane and Crosby, Stills, & Nash did their own versions. I love that Grace, Paul, and Marty all sing on this one. Very pretty song! Fun fact: this was also the song Jefferson Starship performed in Hamburg when Grace asked who won the war. 221. America – “Sister Golden Hair” (1975)I knew and liked this song as a kid but didn’t know the artist or title until five years ago, and it quickly became a favorite of mine during the irreversible trend that was the 70’s whore era. Excellent song! 220. An early 90's song about the artist's mother, who was dying at the time. 219. A comeback single from the early 80's from one of the biggest groups of the 70's. 218. A #3 hit from 1994. 217. An album track from one of the biggest grunge albums ever. 216. A song from 1982 that was inspired by Tom Petty. 215. This famous metal band’s first #1 hit on Mainstream Rock. 214. This 90’s band’s first major hit. 213. The lead single from one of this 90’s pop divas biggest albums. 212. Same artist as #214, definitely an improvement from “The Riff”. 211. This 1993 song reached #25 on the Billboard Hot 100.

So many great songs, and of course, lots more Grace! My favourites there are Def Leppard and America but I like them all. 214 and 212 must be the Goo Goo Dolls.

Alanis, Bush, and Pat Benatar! Lol agreed with Bryan on 212 and 214. As Pipa said when we listened to the GGD's first album, they probably needed counselling to keep "The Riff" out of "Name" and "Iris".

This set is GRACE-tastic! Plus it has Def Leppard, Bush, Beastie Boys and America Am I correct in assuming "The Riff" will be the entire top 8, or 9, or however many variations there are of it? It's the only sound I need.

220. Lita Ford – “Lisa” (1990)Absolutely phenomenal song about her mother. This was one of the first Lita songs I ever loved. 219. America – “You Can Do Magic” (1982)This song has such a unique sound to it that I always just absolutely loved. This is one of my favorite songs of the early 80s and my favorite from America. Great song! 218. Madonna – “Secret” (1994)This was always one of my favorite songs from her, I love the 90s R&B sound to it.
217. Pearl Jam – “Once” (1991)Ten is such a great album from start to finish, and this song in particular was always a highlight for me. So kick ass! 216. Stevie Nicks – “Edge Of Seventeen” (1982)A classic! I always loved this one, one of her best songs ever. 215. Metallica – “Until It Sleeps” (1996)Metalheads frown upon the Load album but I don’t really give a f*ck. I think this is their best song, love it! 214. Goo Goo Dolls – “Name” (1995)”Although they have a few other songs that I prefer, I have always loved this one and I think it’s a great song. 213. Mariah Carey – “Fantasy” (1995)A 90s classic and one of the first songs from Mariah that I ever loved. This song and music video are so much fun and I do like the ODB remix as well, but I always preferred the original. 212. Goo Goo Dolls – “Black Balloon” (1999)This one is incredibly underrated and I feel like it gets lost in the shuffle with "Iris" and "Slide", both of which are still to come and won't be appearing on here for awhile, but I always loved this one and I think it’s a great ballad. 211. Gin Blossoms – “Hey Jealousy” (1993)Another 90s classic! I hear this one on a regular basis at work and I’m STILL not sick of it! What does that tell you?! 210. The lead single from this artist’s only #1 album. 209. The second most iconic discovery from The Book Club. 208. The most iconic discovery from The Book Club. 207. This song shares the title with an album by Puff Daddy... or P. Diddy. Or whatever. 206. #2 Hot 100 hit from 2001. 205. #1 hit from the 90s that sampled a song that was spotlighted during the 1982 edition of The Yearbook. It also has a remix that samples an early Snoop Dogg song. 204. The 1988 follow-up to this artist's most well-known song. 203. The lead single from this artist's 1982 album; same artist as #210. 202. This early 90s pop hit hit was the follow-up to a song with one of the most controversial music videos ever. 201. A lot of people think Ed Sheeran's incredibly overrated and overplayed "Shape Of You" ripped this off, but I don't hear it.
