Wow I'm stunned that Eight Easy Steps is so low! A true JessieLou classic! I loved both of those Spice Girls ones when they were out and still do, and of course how can you go wrong with a Grace classic? That Fleetwood Mac song is one of my favourites from them, and all three Saturday Night Fever songs there are excellent too.

I much preferred Alanis' 90's music to her newer stuff, although she has surprised me a few times. "Guardian" is probably her biggest song since the 90's for me. Spice Girls! I'm so upset that Victoria announced today that the reunion tour won't be happening. I'm very keen to find out what the heck they WERE all talking about then at Geri's house in the countryside last week. New album maybe? I loved both 'Viva Forever' and 'Stop' but Stop is a much more fun song! "Staying Alive" is a novelty song for me. Fun to sing along to. It actually surprises me that they are from the coastal town of Redcliffe which is literally like a 30 minute drive from my place. I'm like, 'They are from there? But they were MASSIVE!' Their plaque is even in the boardwalk you walk alongside the ocean. As though huge acts can't be from small places or something. "Alone" would be my favourite song from them, followed by their duet with Celine - naturally

Did I teach you the dance to Stop? No lol Matt in response to what you were saying about the Bee Gees, and speaking of Saturday Night Fever lol, I recently found out John Travolta and his wife live about 45 minutes away from me.

320. Survivor – “Eye Of The Tiger” (1982)An iconic classic rock song. Their second most kick ass song! 319. Will Smith – “Men In Black” (1997)I grew up on Will Smith - or Ill Smith, as Courage calls him, so I always loved his 90’s hits - with this one being my favorite. 318. Mr. Big – “Green-Tinted Sixties Mind” (1991)A recent discovery thanks to Pipa and a great example as to why “To Be With You” is overrated mediocrity. I love the sound of this and the lyrics referencing 60's pop culture. 317. Haddaway – “What Is Love” (1993)One of the best dance songs ever! 316. Everything But The Girl – “Missing” (1996)Another one of the best dance songs ever! Although I don’t know if I prefer the remix or the original version. The original is beautiful. 315. The Eagles – “I Can’t Tell You Why” (1980)One of my favorite Eagles songs and my favorite from The Long Run.314. Cat Stevens – “Wild World” (1970)Even when I was a kid I really liked this song, but now I absolutely love it. A 70’s essential and my favorite Cat Stevens song. 313. 2Pac featuring Dr. Dre – “California Love” (1996)Here’s a song I don’t think I could EVER get sick of - it’s so catchy and fun! What I love about a lot of the west coast hip hop of the 90’s is that it was heavily inspired by funk music, which is especially shown here with Roger Troutman singing the hook of “West Coast Poplock” by Ronnie Hudson. Great song. 312. Dr. Dre featuring Snoop Dogg – “Nothin’ But A G Thang” (1992)See above. Just an iconic hip hop song of the 90’s. 311. Elton John – “Circle Of Life” (1994)One of my favorite Elton songs, and a 90's classic - especially if you're like me and grew up on all the Disney songs. 310. The most well known song from this Long Island progressive metal band. 309. Speaking of post-Geri Spice Girls... 308. Two years before Duran Duran released their worst song ever (their cover of "911 Is A Joke"), they released what I believe is their best. 307. A heavy metal band whose biggest hit was released in 1984... but their lone appearance on the list is from 1991. 306. Ten years ago, if you asked me what the sexiest music video of all time was, I would've said this. 305. Hot Temptations remake! 304. This song's title was a recent top 5 hit on my chart for another artist. 303. A hit from 1997 that’s very eerie to listen to now. 302. I'm about to pull a @wife here, but on February 23, 2007, I called myself this after my family and I went to a restaurant and I constantly requested Pat Benatar songs on their jukebox. 301. #2 hit in the UK from 2002.

So many great songs there... I actually like all 10 of them to some extent.
310. Dream Theater? 309. Spice Girls - Goodbye? 308. Ordinary World or Come Undone? 307. Ratt - that song that was played on 20hitz? 305. The Cranberries - Just My Imagination? 303. The Cranberries - When You're Gone? 302. Foreigner - Juke Box Hero?

Oooo what a great set! 'Men In Black' is probably a bit 'Eh' and 'What Is Love' is okay, but then I find myself singing along to it every time. 'Eye Of The Tiger' and "Missing" (probably one of the biggest songs of '96 for me) are stunning songs. I quite like 'California Love' And 'Circle Of Life' is just an iconic soundtrack song. 306 - Monifah - Touch It?

310. Dream Theater – “Pull Me Under” (1992)Such an epic, kick ass song. Love this one. 309. Spice Girls – “Goodbye” (1999)Tagging Courage because he loves this one too. Great song, but again also a little sad. 308. Duran Duran – “Ordinary World” (1993)My favorite from them. Absolutely phenomenal song. 307. Ratt – “Nobody Rides For Free” (1991)Ratt have so many great songs, but this one is THE bop! So freaking underrated, seriously. 306. Dokken – “In My Dreams” (1985)My favorite from them and one of THE most essential songs of my metal phase. Not only is it a great song that should've done better on the charts than the crappy dance remake of it from 1991, but the video for it resulted in me developing a silly teeny bopper crush on Don Dokken. To be fair though, he DID look really hot in the video, so 15 year old me wasn't exactly wrong, I just like making fun of myself for it. And speaking of rock stars that I had a crush on... 305. The Cranberries – “Just My Imagination” (1999)DOLORES I STILL MISS YOU SO f*ckING MUCH Fantastic song and one of my favorites on Bury The Hatchet! 304. Linda Ronstadt – “Back In The U.S.A.” (1978)One of the first Linda songs I ever loved. Love the 50's-style rock and roll influence here. My favorite Linda songs are the ones where she rocks out - and this is coming from the person who has "Somewhere Out There" still to come. 303. The Cranberries – “When You’re Gone” (1996)Such a beautiful song. I remember around the time I started getting into them I heard this at a restaurant and I was so excited to hear it. I recently watched a video of Dolores singing it in 2007 while she was promoting Are You Listening? and it was so good! 302. Foreigner – “Jukebox Hero” (1982)For those who weren't around on M4B on February 23, 2007, I will probably go into more detail about it when Pat Benatar appears on the list - which should be soon as she has nine entries on here - but as for this song, this was my favorite from them from day one. Kick ass song. And what I said about Linda would also apply to them - my favorites from Foreigner are their rockers (in fact, the follow-up to this, "Break It Up", JUST missed the list). 301. Oasis – “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” (2002)According to my research, this song was critically panned when it came out, which is more proof that critics are pretentious cows. I always loved this one and it's my favorite Oasis song from the 2000's... well, unless you count @wife's favorite, "Acquiesce". 300. Hot Evanescence remake! 299. One of the most famous heavy metal bands ever, this was their breakthrough hit in the late 80's (and their first of two appearances on here). 298. In my worst songs of all-time list, I said that "Vices" was a terrible introduction to Brand New because the rest of their catalog was actually very good. As I learned a few weeks ago, this song was a terrible introduction to this band because the rest of their catalog sucks. 297. One of the biggest hits ever for this pop superstar; released in the 90's. 296. Hot Gordon Lightfoot remake! Actually... it really is. 295. A late 90's hit whose music video starred Jennifer Love Hewitt. 294. An 80's rock song whose music video was banned because of... a hypnosis scene? The f*ck?! 293. Hey look! It's Pat Benatar! 292. Same artist as #293, taken from a Disney movie. 291. @xfer. Yes, that is the entire hint. @xfer.

I like 'Goodbye', 'Ordinary World' and The Cranberries tracks here. Well if 291 isn't Tori, or Brandon Flowers, then it's obviously Perfume Genius ... Or 'Falling Back In Fields Of Rape'
