Those guesses are correct.
2449) The singer of this song had one of the two big summer songs of 2002.
2447) I've mentioned the short verse business just about every time this song comes up in my chart critiques.

The last two guesses were correct!! 2445) This song just barely missed the 1975 time frame during its first release, but the day was saved when it was re-released near the other end of my time frame. It hit the Top 20 on the AC chart. 2444) If you can't figure this one out, you can just sit on it! 2443) The first hit for an act named after a delicious cold day treat. 2442) Something you might ask a doctor when you have a headache that is So Intense. 2441) The only Top 40 hit for a British Band with an Italian name GOOD LUCK!!

All three of those were correct
2444) Where did the phrase "Sit on it" originate?
2443) I did not like this act's other hits because they were "roof raising disco". Their first hit was actually somewhat mellow.

That is correct, JessieLou! 2440) Based on the title of this mid-80s song, had this song made it to the top, it would have been out of breath. 2439) The title of this song is the first name of a cute blonde who starred in several different TV shows in the 80s and 90s. 2438) Hmm, I wonder if a Bunsen burner blew up in his face? 2437) A place where you might be if you were juice? 2436) What Shirley Murdock's "As We Lay" portrays. GOOD LUCK!!

Wow, I came up with a few tough clues, didn't I?
Both of those guesses were correct, and here are easier clues for the other three.
2440) This song is by an English woman who only had one Top 40 hit here in the states, but had many in her home country. Her debut single there was named after an Emily Bronte level (however, that was NOT the song in question).
2439) The two TV shows for which she was famous - the first one she starred with John Ritter and the second with Patrick Duffy.
2436) This song is by a very successful Canadian.
