Registration for the M4BCC Song Contest 2014 is DONE! COMPLETE! NO MORE! Okay, you get the picture. Starting now, each participant will submit two songs to me via private message for inclusion in that week's round of the Song Contest: The first song will be the song your song for this week's round. The second song will be your elimination song, which will only be used if you are in the bottom 3 that week. Both songs MUST be songs that were not released anywhere in the world as commercial singles. You CAN submit a single as your competition song, but in order for it to be eligible, it must NOT have appeared on any country or region's official chart (yes Cody, that includes the North Korea charts ). For example, if you wanted to submit a Katy Perry song from her most recent album, you couldn't submit "Roar" or "Dark Horse" (or the promotional single, "Walking On Air," since it peaked at #34 in the U.S.), but you COULD submit "International Smile" or "This Moment," as they didn't appear on any country or region's official chart. - When you submit your songs to me, you only need to provide the title and artist. I will track down YouTube clips for each of your submissions. - I'll post YouTube links to each submission in a thread here on M4BCC. Each participant will rank each of the songs (without including their own submission) and send their rankings to me by PM. The voting period will last one week from when the YouTube links are posted. If all votes are received before the week is over, the results will be posted right away instead of waiting for the week to be over. - Once the voting period is over, the three participants whose songs who have the least amount of votes each week will be up for elimination and move on to the Elimination Round. I will post YouTube links to those three participants' elimination songs. The other participants, will vote on which elimination song they like the best. The three people in the "bottom 3" will not be allowed to vote. The participant whose song has the least amount of votes at the end of the Elimination Round will be eliminated from the Song Contest. - The two participants who survive the Elimination Round each week will be asked to submit a new elimination song at the beginning of the next round. Participants who were not involved in the Elimination Round need not submit a new elimination song each round. Any participant who is appearing in an Elimination Round for the first time following Week will have the option of using the elimination song they submitted at the beginning of Week 1 or submitting an entirely new elimination song. You can now start submitting your songs to me by PM. You have until Tuesday, September 30 at 11:59 PM EST to submit your Competition Song and your Elimination Song.Tagging for notification purposes: FreakyFlyBry, @xfer, Cody, Matt, mikeespinho, Pipa, Julian, Green Baron, Sam I Am, Lisa-Gail > Madonna, @whoselinefan (please let me know if you are still interested in participating), Courage

You say a song can't have appeared on a specific country or region's official chart...does that include songs that for example never charted on the Canadian Hot 100, but appeared on a Mediabase Canadian genre chart? Same goes for songs that never charted on the BB Hot 100 but charted on a genre chart.

However, it peaked at #39 on the US AC charts, therefore it is ineligible.

I hope people submit promptly, so we can get started! AND Jess, I have a question. I find that many of my choices do not have videos up on youtube or dailymotion... is there a way so I can choose freely and not being restricted by this limitation? I mean, a solution maybe, cause I was choosing and was like "This! I will submit this!... wait a sec, it's not on yt!" rinse and repeat

In response to your YouTube question, check your PMs.
