I would say "Blurred Lines" and "Radioactive" were about equal in rotation in my area, possibly leaning slightly in favor of "Blurred Lines".

Holy crap the lack of votes for "Radioactive" is a bit surprising. I mean internationally, it's one of the 10 or so biggest hits of the year, as well as easily the biggest alt/rock song of the year. I for one am NOT surprised. Its easily one of the worst songs of the year.

Dan I've wanted to ask, I remember when I was here before you were such a big rock/alt music fan, but looking at your chart now it's become almost non-existent. Why is that haha?

Dan I've wanted to ask, I remember when I was here before you were such a big rock/alt music fan, but looking at your chart now it's become almost non-existent. Why is that haha? Tastes change, different things become the new new, however in my case I'm currently in a non-alt/rock cycle. Kinda like my Country cycle being out of phase for years now, but I promise ir won't be that long before Im somehow engaged with it again. Yeah, still burned out on country (and since @xfer isn't finding me new stuff I got no motivation to like anything... ). *SPOILER ALERT* JessieLou FreakyFlyBry Rock/Alt has a much better shot at coming back if 1) you (or someone starts up the M4B Rock/Alt genre chart again ) 2) If I start being social once again and hang out with RL friends again (seems that's all they listen to ) LOL 3) Lita (or any of the "queens" reaches #1 on JessieLou's New & Active for 5weeks and never debuts j/k:))Also- still digging the new Skillet album and absolutely looking forward to the new DBA album "Let the world know" releasing on February 14, 2014, and the upcoming Within Temptation ( Jawshii) album "Hydra" out January 31, 2014 (Source: Wiki). I hear Howard Jones (ex-Killswitch Engage), Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish) and alternative rock singer Dave Pirner (Soul Asylum) are all featured on it.

I've gone through "phases" as well. I went through a phase when I was 12 where I wanted absolutely nothing to do with pop music and I got into more alternative bands. This shows in my 2005 charts.
Then from ages 16-18 I went through a heavy metal phase, and you all probably know by now how that one ended.

Around 2005 all I'd listen to was emo and prog rock. Thank god that's over.

During 2006-08, practically all I listened to was urban. Those of you who were here then will surely remember.
