Hello, everyone! I know you're all anxious to find out who is in the dreaded Bottom 3 in this first week of the M4BCC Song Contest 2013, so without further delay, let's get started with the results! Let me have David, Matt, and David J come up here. David, your song was Song #11, "Seven Devils" by Florence and the Machine. David J, your song was Song #3, "Time Bomb (Walk Away)" by Chris Wallace. And Matt, you submitted Song #10, "Take Me Home" by Delta Goodrem. David J, standing in between David and Matt, you must feel a little bit like the American filling between two slices of Australian bread in some sort of Yankee Sandwich. I know no one likes to feel like a sandwich, so let's take out one of the ingredients. Matt, you are safe! I'd also like to reveal that Matt's song received the most points in week one, putting him in first place for this round of the competition. Now, I'm standing here with the two Davids. I can reveal that one David is safe. The other David is in the Bottom 3 this week. David J.......you are...................safe. I'm sorry, David. This means you're in the Bottom 3 this week and will be competing in the Elimination Round to try and stay in the Song Contest. Now, I'd like to have 3/4 of the "J Team" come to center stage....Joel, Josh, and Jessica! Joel, your song was Song #4, "Good For Sex" by Marion Raven. Josh, you gave us Song #6, "This Could Be The Year" by Ryan Star, this week. And Jessica... You submitted Song #15, "Graffiti My Soul" by Girls Aloud. Guess what, you three?! OMG! Josh is totally safe! Guess what else? Jessica is safe too! That just leaves Joel. *walks over and puts his hand on Joel's shoulder and shakes his head sorrowfully* Joel, Joel, Joel... I hope you're prepared to deal with the seriousness of the news I'm about to give you.... You're safe too! Let's go ahead and bring up the remaining member of the "J Team," John. I'd also like to call Ari and Kworb to the center of the stage. John, your submission this week was Song #5, "Say You'll Be Mine" by La Bouche. Ari submitted Song #13, "Strange Melody" by Jane Birkin. Meanwhile, Kworb's song was Song #2, "I'll Be Around" by Empire Of The Sun. I hate to break up the "J Team" so soon in the competition. Every good reality show needs a group of people who give themselves a ridiculous nickname. So I won't break you up just yet. John, you're safe. That leaves Ari and Kworb. I'm not going to drag this out any further. Kworb, you are safe this week. Ari, I'm sorry. You're are going to have to fight to stay in the game. You're in the Bottom 3 this week and will join David in the Elimination Round. If it's any consolation, during last season's Song Contest, I believe you were in the Bottom 3 three times...and you survived each time to stay in the game! So that's a small silver lining to this cloud. Let me now have KP, Drag, and Mikeespinho come out here. KP's entry this week was Song 9, "Friend To A Stranger" by Emerson Hart, the former lead singer of the band, Tonic. Drag, you submitted Song #7, "My Blood" by Ellie Goulding. And Mikee, your song was Song #1, "Look At Me Now" by Aurea. I'm sorry I had to call you out of your seats on the couch for this. But I think you'll be glad. All three of you are safe! Finally, I'll ask Adam, Bryan, and Dan to join me here. Adam, your song this week was Song #14, "Living On Love" by Family Of The Year. Bryan, you gave us Song #8, "Red Cup Hands Up Long Brown Hair" by Boys Like Girls. Dan, you submitted Song #12, "Let Me" by Rihanna. One of you WILL join Ari and David in the Bottom 3 this week. The other two will be safe. Adam, you're safe! I don't want to draw out the suspense any further, so I'll....Oooh look! Someone in the audience is wearing something shiny! I'm sorry...where was I? Oh right. The results! Bryan, your song received only one last place ranking in this week's votes. Dan, yours received four last place rankings. That should tell you where I'm going here. Bryan, you are also safe. Dan, I'm sorry. This means you're in the Bottom 3 this week and will be in the Elimination Round. Before we begin the Elimination Round, I will ask that ALL of you submit your songs for next week to me...even Ari, Dan, and David. The three of you will also need to submit new Elimination songs, since the one you submitted last week will now be used. The rest of you ONLY have to submit your next choice for your competition song to me. Whoever gets knocked out during the Elimination Round will obviously not have their song continue on to Round 2. Your song submissions are due by 11:59pm North American Eastern Time on Sunday, September 29. There will be no extensions granted this time. If you don't submit your song to me by the deadline, you'll be eliminated from the Song Contest. Now, here are the three songs submitted for this week's Elimination Round: Song 1: www.youtube.com/watch?v=E7UrdP4wKUwSong 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRl5NVk1w2kSong 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIULEgzRzggSince this is the first Elimination Round, here are the rules: - As participants in this week's Elimination Round, Ari, Dan, & David will not be permitted to vote. If they do vote, they will have 3 votes deducted from their song's total votes. - As with the main rounds of the Song Contest, no one is allowed to reveal the identities of the songs or who submitted each song. - At the end of voting 11:59pm North American Eastern Time on Sunday, September 29, the two participants whose songs have the most votes will move on to Round 2. The participants with the least amount of votes will be eliminated. - The songs for Round 2 of the M4BCC Song Contest will be posted at the end of the Elimination Round. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to post them here or PM me. Good luck to our 3 participants this week! SOOOO unexpected!!!! NOT! Well, what can I say? As you age you will know more music, and I hope sometime down the road you stumble with Strange Melody again and you will love it then <3 Dan... Rihanna? That's asking to be eliminated! lol I was surprised with some songs belonging to certain people, but I knew Jess had submitted Girls Aloud, it was so obvious lol And Chris Wallace? That guy is linked to David J, we all know this lol So, vote for my song people, don't let me exit the game

If it can comfort you, I didn't rank any of you last. Ari, I knew you submitted that Jane Birkin song. Who else would post a song by an alternative french weirdo, after all? Good luck with this round guys! But... WAIT A MINUTE NOOOOW, where are the ranks?! Will we ever know?!

I actually liked Dan's song and ranked it pretty high. I love Delta so I obviously ranked Matt's song very high so congrats to him for getting the top votes! I actually ranked Jawshii's song first. I'm not a HUGE Ryan Star fan but that track was very good. I also really liked @bestintheworld's song. Well done everyone and I hope you all enjoyed one of my favorite Girls Aloud songs! That was actually originally for Britney's In The Zone album.

Hey yes!! We want the rankings!!! And David, I would have thought you submitted La Bouche, but I see you've been diversifying, I ranked Seven Devils like... 5th or 4th. Great song. Kworb... I would never have thought you'd choose Empire Of The Sun Drag, like with Florence, the Ellie song was really cool, and both artists were awful to me to this point, but it has changed <3 LOL!!! Joel ajajajjaja Yeah, that would be me Jason, by the way, the presentation of the results was awesome as well, congrats!

First place! Holy cow!! Thanks soo much for liking my song choice guys, I'm really glad you did as much as I did when I first heard it Seeing my name come up in the first three names mentioned, I thought for sure I was in the bottom 3 in the first round And then to read I got the most votes, just wow! Jason, you wrote this brilliantly. Great job! Do the votes tally-up or reset each week? I can't remember if I read that somewhere. I guess I'm hoping for a safety-net now that I've got to think up another song! Was Kworb's song "I'll be around" by Empire Of The Sun? You wrote Dan there, that's all I actually listened to that one about 5 times cos I lovec it so much Best of luck to you guys in the bottom 3. I may be there next week

Drag, like with Florence, the Ellie song was really cool, and both artists were awful to me to this point, but it has changed <3 I'm glad you liked it! I was fortunate that I got to experience it live.

Thank you for the presentation. I breathed a sigh right after the promulgation that I'm save. I wasn't sure about this. My favourite song was "Good for sex". This is a song I would have charted when I had a chart in that year. I looked over her new songs, but here I think that these are not as good as the submitted song.

Thanks for the comments on my presentation. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Don't worry, everyone. I'll post a Song Contest 2013 rank sheet just like every other M4BCC Song Contest has had posted for it. But I'm going to wait until the Elimination Round is over each week to update it. So you'll just have to wait with bated breath to know where your song placed in the rankings each week. Matt, everything resets each week. The previous week's results don't have any bearing on the results for the current week. So one week, you could be the toast of the town. And then the next week, everyone might just hate you. So choose wisely when picking your next song. That goes for all of you.

David, you know I love you brotha, so please don't take offense to this, but I really don't agree with this at all. I will never understand how Bryan and John can make fun of rap music on here (the MUSIC, not the people who actually listen to it), and people say they are overdoing it and that they "get the point", but meanwhile it's okay for members to say they have the "shittiest taste in music" for liking Britney and Katy and that they have a "pathetic existence" for hating 50 Cent (I'm really showing my age with that quote, I know). I always talk about how I think indie is overrated and overpraised and have ranted many times on my show about how I think The Killers were REALLY overexposed on here back in 2004-2005, but I NEVER said that people had shitty taste for liking them. I make fun of the music I don't like because that's just the type of person I am, but to me comments like this are a bit over the top. We like what we like, if we all liked the same stuff this board would be boring. Believe it or not but I would not like it at all if every chart on here looked like Jessica's Top 40.
