I'm glad I was wrong with my last post. Looking at all of the people left in the competition, I don't think any of them (with the possible exception of Casey), are the type of people you'd see on American Idol! Should be an interesting rest of the competition!

Yeah I don't understand why Adam chose Casey over Jeff, but other than that I like everyone remaining. I voted for Vicci five times last night through my cell phone. I woke up today at 9:45 and voting closes at 10, so within 15 minutes I voted for Vicci five more times through my cell, ten times online, ten times on my home phone, and ten times on my Magic Jack phone. So in total I voted for her 40 times. My prediction is that Frenchie, Javier, Dia, and Vicci Legendtinez will be in the finals.

Jess got 3 out of 4 Though I wanted some to get through last night, these were four good choices and four great voices. I think it will be a Javier vs Vicci showdown... though Beverly could surprise. Dia's good but the others are stronger.

I agree with Bill's prediction. All of them have great voices, though this isn't the exact four that I would've chosen. Beverly isn't quite on par with Javier or Vicci. But what she lacks there, she makes up for in likability & personality. She could definitely be a wild card. The fact that Dia's offbeat and more of a risk-taker with her performances could sway some of the voters. But I'd be surprised if she won.
There are three out of the four that I really like...and one of those three that I've been a huge fan of all along and I'm leaning towards hoping that they win. But I'm going to reserve final judgement until I see Tuesday's performances.

I like all four contestants remaining, although I agree that Dia isn't as strong of a vocalist as the other three. I think Javier is going to win but I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT if Vicci did! I can't remember the last time I've watched a singing competition where my favorite contestant actually came close to winning. In fact I think the last time that happened was American Idol season 3 with Diana DeGarmo. TEAM CEE-LO FOR THE WIN!

I really like everything about this show, so far. I like the Dancing With The Stars-style voting method too. One of my MANY pet peeves with American Idol is that, since there's no limit on voting, it's too easy for people to get together and vote through their favorite cutie or hottie, who might not necessarily have the best voice in the competition. Jess, I'm in the same boat you are. The last time anyone I liked actually WON Idol was Season Three (lol! ). And the last time someone I liked came close to winning was Season 5 when Elliott Yamin got to the Top 3. Ever since Season 3, Idol's been pretty disappointing to me.

I agree! This show actually focuses on the voice and the voice only. I HATE when people vote on Idol because of looks, it's more than obvious that's the only reason Justin Floprini made it as far as he did in the first season. And please don't get me started on the Jennifer Hudson thing, that was disgusting.

I think it's Javier for the win, though I definitely won't rule out Vicci and will be very pleased if she wins.

I wasn't overly impressed by any of the original songs, so to me the win was about the overall package. But I did buy Beverly and Xtina's performance of Beautiful - outstanding.

Congrats to Javier! Very deserving! All four are really good, but I've been a big fan of his from the very beginning. There was something about his rendition of "Time After Time" during the blind auditions that really stuck with me.
I agree with Bill about the original songs. I kind of hope Javier's original song isn't his first "official" single. If this were 15 years ago, I think it would be perfect. But even for the Adult Pop genre (which is where I think he'll ultimately find a home as an artist), "Stitch By Stitch" is a little too schmaltzy. I think he shines the most when it's just him and one instrument, like a piano or guitar. He doesn't need a lot of accompanying instrumentation.
