Just wondering what everyone uses these days, and which brands/models you prefer.
I have a desktop at home, it's a Dell Dimension 8300, 5 years old. Right now I only have a Laptop from work and it's a Latitude. I'd like to eventually move to using a wireless laptop at home.

I prefer to use a Desktop computer over the use of a Laptop, mainly because the screen bothers my eyes less. However, I do like the convenience of a laptop from the standpoint that, it is easy to move from one place to another. I currently own an IBM thinkpad notebook computer/laptop. It has some years to speak of... I am also thinking about buying a new laptop.

I can now say that I am a proud owner of a laptop! Now, I just have to wait for it to come in the mail.

I actually just bought another laptop... It's a Toshiba Qosmio X305... got it on eBay for about $600... brand new... all the original packaging and everything! The same laptop sells regular price for between $1500 and $2000. 4 GB of memory... 64-bit, 2.0 GHz dual-core processor... surround sound... 320 GB, 7200 rpm hard drive... 17" screen... it's pretty awesome! explore.toshiba.com/laptops/qosmio/X305

I would have to say Laptop. I can go anywhere in my house because of wireless connection.
Mouses really bug me at times so using the moving thing helps. I don't have to bend down and avoid hitting my head when inserting my memory stick.

My desktop kicked the bucket last night.
I was on it, and then it just shut down, and now it won't turn back on. I've tried using different power cords. outlets, everything I can think of. This sucks!
I just hope my hard drive is ok.

Suprisingly my computer can't seem to manage all my music so it slowed it down. But when i got my laptop and put all my music on there, it didn't slow it down which is weird because my laptop has less memory compared to a normal computer.

This sucks! I just hope my hard drive is ok. Well, it sounds like my motherboard and power supply are gone for good, which sucks. Thankfully, my hard drive is ok. I don't know what I would've done if... gah, I don't even want to think about it! I don't know about my ram, graphics card, or sound card yet, but if they don't work, I'll be upset but I'll get over it.
