450k seems like a lock, unless the first day was extremely frontloaded.

Can you believe it - Heading into the weekend, HITS is now projecting anywhere between 470-490k! Could this really topple the opening week numbers of both Kanye West and Beyonce?

I have decided to start reviewing albums on here. What a better way to start then with Ms Spears.
1) Womanizer - 5/5
Womanizer is the perfect lead single. It's catchy and it's a song that you won't be able to get out of your head for weeks. It had number 1 written all over it and it finally claimed that spot. One of my all time favorite Britney song's of all time.
2) Circus - 4/5
The second single. Not as upbeat and dancey as Womanizer but with lyrics such as "i'm like the ring leader, i call the shots" - it shows that Ms spears means business and pretty much sets up the rest of the album that she is back and better than ever. I can't see it being as big as Womanizer but i can't say it's her weakest song to date.
3) Out From Under - 4/5
I love this song. Britney is not known for ballads. But this is a lovely song from the heart and I actually think it is better than Every time. This would work as a single with modest success. This song is pretty much the start of the album where the album really begins to experiment.
4) Kill The Lights - 5/5
This is like Piece of me part 2. It's in your face to the paps and reminds me of a song that was left off her last album. Maybe it's because it's from Danja. Britney would score a massive hit from this. My favorite unreleased song from the album.
5) Shattered Glass - 3/5
I think many will dislike this at first but it really grows on after a while. The glass effect in the song gives it an edge. This song also takes the album to an electro type feel genre.
6) If You Seek Amy - 5/5
A controversial song you would think Katy Perry could pull off. Well no. Britney brings her sexiness back in this song where she hopes "all of boys and all of the girls are begging to if you seek Amy". Controversial as it is but the music industry loves a good controversial song and this would bring her another massive hit as well.
7) Unusual You - 2/5
I was disappointed in this song because it's by Bloody shy and Avant who are responsible for past hits such as Toxic and Piece of me. Another electro type song with a ballad feel, it doesn't scream hit as their past productions. A song that isn't the worst but one i would recommend to skip.
8) Blur - 5/5
A body swaying type song that it quite chilled out. Catchy chorus. Britney really surprised me with this song.
9) Mmm Papi - 3/5
The most random song I have ever heard from her. It won't be a song that fans will like but it's fun and just a good song to dance to.
10) Mannequin - 3/5
This song would do really well in the club chart. My criticism is that the instrumental in the song overtakes the song. I can barely hear what she sings in the song which makes it hard for me to sing along and understand what she is singing about.
11) Lace and Leather - 4/5
Britney brings her sexiness on this song again. A tongue in cheek type song with sauciness. Like Kill the lights, it reminds me of a song that has been left of Blackout.
12) My Baby - 1/5
I really do not like this song. Written by Ms Spears herself, it's a ballad that is from the heart but quite sleepy. Sleepy in a bad way. However she shows her vocals in a good light. This album proves that Britney can take on ballads.
13) Radar - 5/5
A track from Blackout which was randomly put on here. Radar would be the perfect single and could be the Don't Stop The Music of 2009 if it was to be released. Although both songs are different. I predict it would be as big as Womanizer and possibly Gimme More as well.
14) Amnesia - 4/5
This song is so strange when you first hear. However instead of thinking of how strange it is, give it about 4 listens and you will be singing along. It has a story behind it. Another song that has surprised me.
This album reminds me of In The Zone meets a little of Blackout. Very experimental and one of her best albums to date. Unlike artists such as Madonna and Mariah Carey, Britney's music gets better each album not weaker. Despite her recent troubles, the newly crowned Queen Of Pop is back and isn't going anyway. Although to be fair, she never went anywhere anyway.

1. Womanizer - 5/5 - This track is really catchy and pop perfection.
2. Circus - 5/5 - Hot as hell. My favorite from the album at the moment.
3. Out From Under - 4/5 - Definitely good, but Britney ballads are typically somewhat boring for me. The best ballad of hers IMO is Everytime.
4. Kill The Lights - 5/5 - HOT!! The beat, the melody, the chorus, the lyrics.. everything about this song is blazin.
5. Shattered Glass - 4/5 - Definitely a grower. Reminds me of something off of Oops. Love it.
6. If You Seek Amy - 5/5 - Reminds me of I Kissed A Girl & Cuz I Can. Love it. Catchy and clever.
7. Unusual You - 2/5 - Eh. Its okay. Rather boring though.
8. Blur - 1/5 - Overrated and boring IMO.
9. Mmm Papi - 1/5 - Ridiculous and kind of annoying
10. Mannequin - 4/5 - HOT! I love this song. My only issue is the way she sings it is hard to understand.
11. Lace & Leather - 3/5 - I like this one. Very Prince sounding. It was hotter the first few times I heard it though.
12. My Baby - 2/5 - My least favorite, but it gets 1 extra point for the fact that the lyrics are so cute and I can tell this song means a lot to her.
13. Radar - 2/5 - Didn't care for this song before, still don't.
14. Amnesia - 3/5 - This song is pretty good, but at times I just skip it.
15. Phonography - 5/5 - I really love this one. The production is sick and the chorus is hot.
16. Rock Me In - 3/5 - Pretty good, but I can see why its a bonus track.
17. Quicksand - 3/5 - I like this one too. It had to grow on me some though.
18. Trouble - 5/5 - Maybe my favorite of the bonus tracks. Its brilliant.

Funhouse - did your purchase the delxue edition?
I wasn't a fan of the other songs so i didn't. Unlike Rihanna and Chris Brown, at least we won't have to spend our money on the same album as Britney released the deluxe on the same day as the original. Like Beyonce

This album has sold 900k in three weeks. It took Blackout about a year to sell that much.
I hope she continues to do well. Double platinum anyone?

If "Circus" maintains its momentum at radio, and she has a good third single lined up - 2 million is a sure-thing. She will probably do about 4-5 mil worldwide, at least.

Hmm, i am not sure. Britney's album sales are not stable worldwide. Well in the UK they are not.

^ Her chart position isn't stable - but her sales are.
Even though 'Circus' is just outside the top 20 - her sales have remained above 50k for each of the weeks it's been out. It's just the extremely strong album sales market in the U.K. right now, along with the Christmas season, has caused the album to slide in position - but not necessairly sales.

Hmm, i see. And the UK is her best market. All her songs (apart from break the ice) all entered in the top 10.

Circus (album): 12/11/08 #2 - 814.000 (814.000) 12/18/08 #2 - 414.000 (1.228.000) 12/25/08 #1 - 412.000 (1.640.000) 01/01/09 #1 - 413.000 (2.053.000)
Worldwide sales. Phenomenal. And to be fair, it should have been 4 weeks at #1 but two different Japanese artists were #1 each of those weeks with monstrous album sales that fell flat off the Earth the following week.

Yeah that is phenomenal.
Taylor might be a sales hit in the US but she will never earn the worldwide fame like Britney. I think it's best to be known worldwide than in one country because you get more sales and recogniton.
