This is tracking at sub-100,000 copies in its first week of release in America; definately a huge drop from "Speak." However, given the higher quality of this album, I think it should have better "legs"

Not in the US. She's expected to sell 100k. Eminem is expected to sell 350k or more.
Sorry, Lindsay!

If you want to go to #1, don't release your record on the same day as Em's. I think she'll still go top 5, though. Sales are really weak this season, unfortunately.

If you want to go to #1, don't release your record on the same day as Em's. I dont think that albums face real competition when released on the same day as another heavyweight album, unlike movies or TV. If someone likes two artists whose albums are released on the same day, they'll probably just get both. But yeah, definately dissapointing sales for Lindsay so far.

I got this the first day it came out.
The first listen, I wasn't too impressed with most of the songs. I wasn't hooked easily like I was to "Speak". But a few listens, the songs tend to get better.
My favourites will have to be "Confessions of a Broken Heart", "Black Hole", "If It's Alright", and "Edge of Seventeen".
I just hope "I Live For The Day" can do something. But sadly, I don't think it'll get anywhere. If "Confessions of a Broken Heart" can't go top 50, then neither will "I Live For The Day". I hope she releases at least two more singles off of the album.
So, I still think "Speak" is better. Because the songs on it are more catchy. But this album stands on it's own, alot different sounding then "Speak".

If it were released at a less competitive time, she'd have another top 10 debut under her belt.
Her label should've released the single in February, and then the album in late March, early April.
Lesson learned.
