These are the songs that have been submitted. Please private message me your rankings, from 1, being the song you like the best, to 8, being the song you like the least. Along with your votes, please tell me the artist and title of the song you submitted, because when I went on hiatus there, all of my messages were deleted. 1. Song 12. Song 23. Song 34. Song 45. Song 56. Song 67. Song 78. Song 89. Song 9Edited since the link for song 3 said song 4

you know, it's hard to vote this way, you can't remember which song is which, so you listen to them 4-5 times by the time you ended up voting

As you listen to them, place them on the list in order of preference... Also, stupid question alert: We still aren't voting for our own songs right? If so, then shouldn't the songs be ranked 1 - 8?

Why not make a list at the time you vote? As you listen to them, place them on the list in order of preference... That's what I did... and listed the genre of the song (or singer if I know who sings it) and whoever I thought submitted it to keep track. Of course, I stripped it down when sending my votes

Ok, I understand why you don't reveal the name of the singer, but why don't you tell us the name of the song? It will be easier to identify the songs.

I just want this to remain as anonymous as possible. I know that right now, keeping track of 8 songs is a little difficult, but I swear, as the rounds go by, it won't pose as much of a problem.

It's not really that hard. What I do is listen to an mp3 and then give it a rating based on 1-10 (including to the nearest decimal place, like 7.9 or 5.4 or whatever) and then when the mp3 is finished, I rename the file as "rating Round 1 - Song 1.mp3" that way I know what I initially rated the song as and when I'm done, I'll compare them all to make sure that they are in a suitable order and preview them once more. BTW, when's the deadline?

Personally I like the anonymous rule. For me, it doesn't have anything to do with people voting for participants they like instead of whether the song is good or not. My thing is that sometimes, if we know who the artist is, we develop an opinion of the song before we even hear it.

I know, but I give songs a chance... if someone participated with a Britney Spears song... hey, I'd give it a chance. But when Adam participated with "Find Your Way Back" by Michelle Branch, I didn't download the MP3 because I had the "Hotel Paper" album, and I loved that song! (too bad it wasn't a single )

If you hate her (I don't know if you do or not), then you probably wouldn't give it a fair chance. You say you would but you probably wouldn't. I'd say I'd give a fair chance to all songs but if a song submitted is an American Idol relation song, I know I'd have a formed opinion on it before listening and that would sour the song, so that's why I prefer anonymity.

First of all, yes, I do hate her... second of all, I would give it a chance - I gave "My Prerogative" a chance
