The cast of the upcoming season of Dancing With The Stars has just been announced. Here's a link to the story: tv.msn.com/tv/article.aspx?news=273813>1=7703The cast: - Spice Girl, Melanie Brown (aka 'Scary Spice,' & 'Mel B.,') - actress, Sabrina Bryan (of Disney Channel's Cheetah Girls) - race car driver, Helio Castroneves (Indianapolis 500 champion) - NBA franchise owner, Mark Cuban (owner of the Dallas Mavericks) - actress, Jennie Garth (of Beverly Hills 90210 and that show with Amanda Bynes that used to be on The WB.) - model/actress, Josie Moran- actor, Cameron Mathison (of ABC's All My Children) - Welterweight boxing champ, Floyd Mayweather, Jr.- longtime Las Vegas headliner, Wayne Newton- singer/former teen idol, Marie Osmond- model, Albert Reed- actress, Jane Seymour (of Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman and dozens of TV movies) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sounds like an interesting cast. There seem to be more "people you've never heard of before" this season. Looking at the list, I have a feeling that Jane Seymour will be one of the better dancers. I don't want to predict too much, because you never can tell who will be good and who will be lovably horrible....but when I see Wayne Newton's name, Master P.'s & Jerry Springer's names keep echoing in my head. LOL!

^^ - I think Bill's point was that all three of those people have had careers where dancing was a major component...and thusly, they shouldn't be eligible to compete. However, the same could be said of last year's runner-up, Joey Fatone...and probably even Season 2 winner, Drew Lachey.

Well they're used to a certain kind of dancing. On this show they have to do ballroom dancing which is a completely different form.

Marie Osmond passed out during the critique after her performance last night. Fortunately it looks like she's gonna be fine.

I love Dancing With The Stars! I was so sad when they booted off Sabrina Bryan last night. She even made a perfect score from the judges one week! She obviously deserved to be in the top spots in the competition. I really think the whole decision was based on sympathy for the other contestants. It seems like that experiencing misfortune will garner celebrity contestants some votes.
For example, Marie Osmond's fainting on live television (I love her...and was concerned for her too), Jane Seymour...mother passed away during competition...and was food poisoned this week and in the hospital, Jennie Garth (one of my favorite from 90210) experienced a fall during one week's dance and it is working in her favor now
OTOH, Cameron Mathison has a sexy soap opera image...so I think he has some fans in his corner that want him to stick around. They almost booted off Mel B - my girl Scary Spice one week and she got lucky. But, I say she's been doing a fine job throughout the competition! Helio is working really hard and improving nicely by being a competitive threat in the competition.

Definitely has not been a smooth ride for Jane. Her mother dies, her home almost went up in flames and now she gets food poisoning. Then of course Marie and Jennie's incidents. This year's winner may just come down to who can stay standing the longest!
I heard Mel B got a perfect score this week.

Mel B received another perfect score last night.
On a much sadder note, they are now reporting that Marie Osmond's father died at 90 this morning. Very sad. My condolences go out to the Osmond family. She is now the second star on the show whose parent died.
This has been certainly a rough season for the cast members of Dancing with the Stars.

The finale begins tonight! I'm getting the distinct sensation that Marie Osmond is going to win regardless of how good or bad she & the other three are tonight.
Marie's good...and she's improved her dancing so that she doesn't quite have to rely on all those little gimmicks as often. But I'd rather Melanie or Helio win.

I think Marie will be the first to go, but I'd like to see her win.
