I've gotta say, I'm not thrilled with the cast list. I mean, last time around had some bigger, recognizable names like Jerry Springer and Sara Evans, but this time? I dunno... a whole bunch of athletes likely means a better competition, but the question is, how long will they stay compared to the "names."

*groan* for Heather Mills and Joey Fatone
The rest should be okay to watch.

BigPussy has dropped out of Dancing With The Stars.
After only around 1 week of practice, the actor discovered that ballroom dancing isn't quite the easiest thing for his 60-year old self, so had left the competition.
ABC will name is replacement soon.

That's interesting. I got the above names from an article on MSN over a week ago...and his name wasn't even mentioned. I wonder if they even knew back then that he might not be participating.

It's been announced that John Ratzenberger, who played "Cliff Claven" on the long-running NBC sitcom Cheers will be taking Vincent Pastore's place on Dancing With The Stars.
Ratzenberger had previously been offered a spot in the Season 4 cast, but originally turned it down because of a scheduling conflict.

Rumour has it that Heather Mills is getting VERY frustrated with dancing because of the limitations caused by her leg.

Shandi Finnessey is the co-host on the GSN show Lingo. She's also one of the rotating hosts on the show Playmania, and she was talking last night about how she hasn't had much time to practice cause of her time during the 2 shows.

Kind of a mixed bag overall - I would say that Ian Ziering, Joey Fatone, Apolo Ohno, Laila Ali, and Clyde Drexler are ones to watch first out of the gate.

Well Billy Ray redeemed himself this week, as did Leeza Gibbons to an extent. They all have their fans, but Laila Ali, Joey Fatone, and Apolo Onho scored highest. The judges seemed to heap praises on Clyde but his score didn't reflect it. So I think Clyde's vulnerable but it will likely be Leeza who goes next week.

I really don't see Shandi's fan base being huge enough to keep her in any more than 4 weeks, maximum. Female celebrities never seem to have the fan bases that the male celebs have on this show, so I can see most of 'em being picked off near the start, especially with the "name" celebrities they have. Watch for Shandi to be gone week 1, Paulina maybe week 2, Heather in week 3 (the public will officially be sick of her by then). I don't see Clyde having a huge fan base, so week 4 for him. Leeza might stick around until week 5. Billy Ray will go in week 6 (country fans - see Sara Evans)
Final 4 predictions:
Ian, Joey, Laila, Apolo.

Dan was close - Paulina was shown the exit door tonight, with Shandi runner up. But wasn't that dance number to Queen's "Don't Stop Me Now" terrific?

I missed tonight's show (damn you, Lily Allen!) Needless to say, I'm impressed that I was able to pick a bottom two for week one. Yay me!

Dan! Keep predicting! Shandi did not survive this week's edition. Leeza joined her under the red lights.
