This went to #17 on Billboard in 1998 and it was on her Suppossed Former Infatuation Junkie album, and I just have one simple thing to say about this song... I LOVE THIS SONG! MY FAVORITE FROM ALANIS!

It was pretty good, but she's had a few better songs. Peaked at #4 on my first chart, but likely would've been a #1 if I started a few weeks earlier.

"Thank U" and "Save Tonight" were top 5, with "Crush", "This Kiss", and "My Favourite Mistake" all in the top 40.

If I had a chart back then, then this would probably be the top five, but really, who the heck knows? 1. Thank U- Alanis Morissette (#1 for 10 weeks) 2. Wishing I was There- Natalie Imbruglia (#1 for 2 weeks) That's all I know

#10 is a great song too! I think my #1 of 1998.
As for Alanis, 'Thank U' was a #1 for me on both charts too but it was kinda put under a bit because of 'Uninvited' but I remember when Alanis' second CD was coming out and this song was still new. It was AWESOME!! 'SFIJ' was prolly my most anticipated CD ever! I couldn't wait for it and if I had some sort of airplay chart based on my musical tastes, I'm sure 'Thank U' would still hold the record for greatest increase "out of the box"! aka, best first week gains or whatever. It was HUGE for me at its beginning! Not my favourite Alanis song now but it's still awesome!
