You didn't miss it by my walk, you didn't miss it by my talk, but you got it correct before it's gone!

97. ALESSIA CARABorn July 11, 1996, Brampton, ON, CanadaAt #97, from the suburbs of Toronto, we have a young female singer-songwriter Alessia Cara. Her alternative pop sound and candid songwriting about relateable topics have helped her music resonate for me thus far; this appeal helped her win the Grammy for Best New Artist last year. To date, she has released two albums, several singles from which have charted for me, but her only #1 so far has been the Disney song "How Far I'll Go"! 1. How Far I'll Go 2. Scars To Your Beautiful 3. Wild Things 4. Growing Pains 5. Here 6. Stay (with Zedd) 7. Seventeen 8. Wild (with Troye Sivan) 9. I Guess That's Why They Call It The Blues 10. Not Today #96: The only artist from New Zealand to make the list. 1455. Shawn Mendes - Something Big 1454. Lasgo - Something 1453. Coldplay - Viva La Vida 1452. Anna Kendrick - Cups (When I'm Gone) 1451. Courage My Love - Animal Heart 1450. Santana feat. Diego Torres - Feel It Coming Back 1449. Olly Murs feat. Demi Lovato - Up 1448. Twenty One Pilots - Stressed Out 1447. Clay Aiken - Invisible 1446. Paul McCartney - Fuh You 1445. Tiesto - Red Lights 1444. Pussycat Dolls - I Hate This Part 1443. Taylor Swift - Gorgeous 1442. Coldplay - In My Place 1441. Simple Plan - Astronaut

1440. This sweet song was taken from the last album this band did that I enjoyed - indeed, nothing from the album following this has even charted at all for me. 1439. This Canadian band amplified the title of one of their previous hits with its own adjective form. Unlike said previous hit, this is a love song. 1438. The title track from this Quebecois singer's first English-language album. She goes by a single name. 1437. This diva, who was most popular in the 90's, has had four top 10 hits during my chart's existence, all spread out by at least four years between them. This was the second, from 2009. 1436. The original M4BCC-genre hit - over a decade before talk of such a genre was even a thing! 1435. This song has a connection with Kanye West's "Stronger". Think of the sample. 1434. A song that samples the original version of a song that had a cover version appear earlier on. It's by a British male artist. 1433. This R&B singer went EDM on this, like most of his other big 2010's hits for me. It shares its title with a big Linkin Park hit. 1432. The third single from this Canadian female's 2003 album. 1431. A charity remake - with the opening lines delivered by its writer and original artist. 1430. One of two big hits from the same film in a teen-oriented movie franchise's series to make the list. It's by a popular male soloist known for his retro-oriented songs. 1429. The final top 15 hit on my chart by this popular female - it's unlikely she will ever have another big hit again for me. It's about a kind of item where you might sleep. 1428. The debut single from a popular male singer who always assures that it's him you're listening to. 1427. The lead single from one of the most infamous Book Club episodes. 1426. An 80's styled slow jam from another artist in this set.

96. LORDEBorn: November 7, 1996, Auckland, New ZealandAt #96 we have New Zealand's singer-songwriter who got her start in her teens, Lorde! Her alternative stylings influenced many others to follow and took the world by storm in 2013 when her hits from "Pure Heroine", "Royals" and "Team" became huge worldwide smashes. However, the album that really did it for me was her second album, "Melodrama". While lead single "Green Light" was a big hit for me, she ended up hitting #1 twice from that album - with "Perfect Places" and "Supercut". I'm hopeful that she will continue in the same quality in the future! 1. Supercut 2. Perfect Places 3. Green Light 4. Homemade Dynamite 5. Precious Metals 6. No Better 7. Royals 8. Glory And Gore 9. Magnets (with Disclosure) 10. Team #95: The least prolific artist in the top 100 - made it in on just three songs! To date, she has not released a full album. 1440. Maroon 5 - Sugar 1439. Simple Plan - Perfectly Perfect 1438. Andee - Black And White Heart 1437. Toni Braxton - Yesterday 1436. Naomi Striemer - Fall Behind 1435. Big Time Rush - Music Sounds Better With You 1434. Robbie Williams - Supreme 1433. Usher feat. Swedish House Mafia - Numb 1432. Sarah McLachlan - World On Fire 1431. Young Artists For Haiti - Wavin' Flag 1430. Bruno Mars - It Will Rain 1429. Rihanna - California King Bed 1428. Jason Derulo - Whatcha Say 1427. Britney Spears feat. G-Eazy - Make Me... 1426. Bruno Mars - Versace On The Floor

1425. The third single from this album, all of which used the same Prince-style spelling. 1424. Third single from the debut album by this singer-songwriter from Dallas. 1423. My favourite from this British dance diva who was featured on many 2000's episodes of the Yearbook. It's from 2007. 1422. This Massachusetts singer-songwriter has had many hits on the Hot AC chart, but this song about something you listen to music through is my favourite from him. 1421. The second single from the third major label album release by this singer-songwriter from Peterborough, ON. 1420. The most recent single to date to make my top 10 by this young Canadian starlet. It's about a geographical formation. 1419. The lead single from this legendary punk/new wave/disco band's most recent studio album. 1418. The debut single from this teen pop singer turned actress. She has disowned this as well as her other early music. 1417. Second single from this Alaskan singer-songwriter's second album. 1416. A cover of a #1 hit from 1987 by a Canadian band. 1415. The comeback single from one of the biggest boy bands of all time. 1414. I am completely dumbfounded that this, my most hated girl group of all time, once had a top 10 hit on my chart! This was their debut single. 1413. The debut single by this rock musician from Montreal, from the Bengino era. 1412. This popular southern rock band teamed up with a legendary Detroit rocker about their plane arriving in the UK. 1411. A large top 20 Hot AC hit in the US by this illuminating Canadian singer.

1425. Usher - U Don't Have To Call? 1417. Jewel - Down So Long? 1415. Backstreet Boys - Don't Go Breaking My Heart? 1414. Filth No-Harmoni - Miss Movin' On? 1411. Lights - Giants?

All correct except for 1415 - that was a big #1 for me so it is much higher. Think of the big boyband who ruled the airwaves a decade before the Backstreet Boys did.

95. LAUREN WINANSOrigin: Buckhannon, WV, USAHere is the only artist in the entire top 100 that has never released a full album - indeed, she has had only five singles that I know of to date, of which I have heard, and charted, three. Originally hailing from West Virginia and currently based out of Nashville, she caught my attention with the heartbreak anthem "Better At Breaking", which made an instant impact for me and became my #1 of 2014. The momentum from this single continued into two other #1's - "Wicked Game" and "Sexy Goodbye". Lauren finds herself among those with much more prolific careers just based on the strength of these three songs combined - they're enough to put her into my top 100 artists of the past 20 years! 1. Better At Breaking 2. Wicked Game 3. Sexy Goodbye #94: A Canadian singer-songwriter who was most popular in the 1990's, and the only artist in the top 100 without a top 5 hit on my chart. 1425. Usher - U Don't Have To Call 1424. Ryan Cabrera - 40 Kinds Of Sadness 1423. Sophie Ellis-Bextor - Catch You 1422. Matt Nathanson feat. Lolo - Headphones 1421. Serena Ryder - What I Wouldn't Do 1420. Alyssa Reid feat. Likewise - Badlands 1419. Blondie - Fun 1418. Mandy Moore - Candy 1417. Jewel - Down So Long 1416. These Kids Wear Crowns - I Wanna Dance With Somebody 1415. New Kids On The Block - Summertime 1414. Fifth Harmony - Miss Movin' On 1413. Sam Roberts - Brother Down 1412. 3 Doors Down feat. Bob Seger - Landing In London 1411. Lights - Giants Among the artists crashing out here are British dance diva Sophie Ellis-Bextor, American singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson and Canadian artists These Kids Wear Crowns and Sam Roberts. Other Canadian artists in this set, all of whom still have others to come, are Serena Ryder, Lights and Alyssa Reid. We also have a comeback hit from New Kids On The Block, as well as among the many in the list from Ryan Cabrera, Usher, Jewel, Mandy Moore and 3 Doors Down. We also have a "nostalgia always wins" moment from Blondie from... 2017! And, believe it or not... as much as I may trash talk them these days (especially their noted solo breakout Camila Cabello)... there was a time when, shockingly, the group I call "Filth No-Harmony" actually had a top 10 hit on my chart!

1410. This group, who @wife refers to as "whiny emoheads", surprisingly didn't have their biggest hit on my chart until a full six years after their breakthrough single. 1409. A very faceless CanCon song from a singer from Toronto nominated for a 2004 Juno Award for Pop Album of the Year. This was his debut single. 1408. The lead single from the appropriately-titled second album from this California pop-rock band before disbanding; their lead singer would have some minor solo success on my chart afterwards. 1407. A song that samples a Stevie Blunder song. 1406. The second single from this Florida band's greatest hits album. 1405. A Christian rock band that likely wouldn't have had as big a hit as they did for me if not for the presence of a New York-based singer-songwriter who was big on Hot AC in the 2000's. 1404. The debut single from the older of two sisters to make my chart. 1403. The third US single (fourth worldwide) from this Australian diva's comeback album. 1402. The second single from this Ohio boyband's third album. 1401. A song from the re-release of this Canadian singer-songwriter's self-titled album. 1400. This man, who led a successful rock band in Canada in the 90's, has had an even bigger solo career. This song was the first single from his fifth solo album. 1399. A song by an Australian DJ that shares its title with a Kanye West song. 1398. The lead single from the first comeback album by this British girl group. They had another, even bigger, comeback 10 years after this on my chart, because nostalgia always wins. 1397. A single by the artist at #1400, released six years prior. 1396. For her greatest hits album, she included this new song with a title spelled like Prince would've.

1410, 1404, 1402 and 1398 are all correct.
For 1407 - think Cookie Monster.
For 1399 - think of a Caribbean country's capital and a colour.
