So I am getting the nerve to go ahead and share My Top 1111 Songs of All time. This is not a definitive chart and is not based on any chart numbers....just how I felt over the past couple months. Why 1111? Being a young kid growing up in Toronto, I listened to the 2 Toronto hit stations 1050 Chum and 680 CFTR. But for me, 1150 CKOC out of Hamilton had the biggest impact on me. They played the hits blended with gold songs best. Every year they would play their Big 500 Countdown which spanned songs from the entire rock era 1955 to the present year something the other stations wouldn't do. Because of CKOC, I started listening and appreciating everything in the rock era. So I started doing my own Top 500 but finding so many of my favourites were being left off. One year the local rock station Q107 put out a Top 1007 countdown, when played lasted a week. I was floored! How awesome! I had to do more. So the next number that would work for me was 1111. And it's been an annual Top 1111 for decades now Like the CKOC's Big 500 countdown, there are songs from 1955 to the present day. This is a 99% singles chart, there are only a handful of album tracks in here. Songs by decade breakdown would be: 18% - 1955-1969 37% - 1970s 24% - 1980s 10% - 1990s 10% - 2000-2018 You can see that songs released before 1990 make up 80% of this chart. I guess this makes me a geezer. My favourite era in music has to be 1978-1984, that make up to 1/3 of this chart I have also been a huge fan or female vocalists. 47% of the songs were by female vocalists or by female led bands. With all these songs, I still feel songs are being left off. I will be updating this pretty frequently. It's a big list and there is alot to get through! WARNING! I know there are songs in here that people here will say wtf or have said "no, just no". but for me I like 'em and there are some doozies! I would rather listen to some 70s cheese than alot of music today So no pointing your finger and laughing! I have seen some of your charts So let's kick things off. Sometimes, there will be commentary, sometimes not. 1111. BILLY JOEL - You May Be Right *1980*The first song, by no means a bad song. There are just 1110 better than this This is the first of 6 songs on here from Billy Joel. 1110. SHEENA EASTON - Telefone *1983*This was a fun video! Sheena Easton had quite the hit streak during the 80's, I wish she had continued charting! She has a couple more still to come! 1109. ROLLING STONES - Love Is Strong *1994*This was a comeback hit for them. It hit #1 on my personal chart. Been a big fan of the Stones. This is one of 15 on here for them. 1108. ZOMBIES - She's Not There *1964*1107. GUNS "N" ROSES - Sweet Child O' Mine *1989*Some of you are probably thinking this is so low! It's a good song, this year it crept on and made it's mark 1106. ABC - The Look of Love *1982*
1105. AMY GRANT - Good For Me *1992*Her only contribution on here. This and/or "Baby Baby" usually find a place on here 1104. PAUL ANKA - Put Your Head On My Shoulder *1959*Canada's crooner. His best is still to come, but not for awhile 1103. SIMON & GARFUNKEL - The Boxer *1968*1102. TONI BASIL - Mickey *1982*Fun song. Fun video. One the first albums I bought. 1101. BEE GEES - Love So Right *1976*
Pretty song. I am defiantly a fan of the Brothers Gibb. This is one of 16 songs of theirs scattered throughout the chart.

FOREIGNER - Waiting For A Girl Like You *1981*This song spent a record 10 weeks at #2 at the time behind "Physical". Inside I was a happy boy. Go Olivia! "Physical" still to come 1096. DARYL HALL & JOHAN OATES - Private Eyes *1981*1095. FRANKE GOES TO HOLLYWOOD - Relax *1984*"Relax don't do it...when you want to come" When I was a kid listening to this I was like "OMG is that what they mean?" 1094. PETULA CLARK - I Couldn't Live Without Your Love *1966*Always liked Petula's sound. This is one of 5 songs for her on this list. 1093. LOVIN' SPOONFUL - Summer In The City *1965*1092. AS LONG AS I CAN DREAM - Expose *1993*My favourite Expose song. This song was on a playlist I had during a low point. Its a good uplifting song 1091. PAT BENATAR - Hit Me With Your Best Shot *1980*One of 14 Super Acts on this chart with 10+ songs. This song suffers a little due to overexposure here in Canada and it's Cancon rules. 1090. BRUNO MARS - Finesse *2018*Take note: the version I like is without Cardi B 1089. FLEETWOOD MAC - Songbird *1977*One of the few album tracks on here. Song by Christine McVie this is simply beautiful. 1088. ROXETTE - Fading Like A Flower *1989*
First of two from this Swedish act. One more to come! 1087. NEIL DIAMOND - Song Sung Blue *1972* 1086. FIREFALL - Just Remember I Love You *1977*1085. LESLEY GORE - Maybe I Know *1964*Maybe I know that he's been a-cheatin, Maybe I know that he's been untrue. But what can I do?1084. DONNA SUMMER & BROOKLYN DREAMS - Heaven Knows *1979*Disco never died for me. Donna's better songs still to come! 1083. NATALIE IMBRUGLIA - Torn *1997*1082. PRETENDERS - Stop Your Sobbing *1980*The cover of an old Kinks song lead to Chrissie Hynde's relationship with Ray Davies. Good tune. 1081. JENNIFER LOPEZ & LL COOL J - All I Have *1995*I really liked their collaborations. Seriously, drop Pitbull and just work with LL

Actually don't mind "Message In A Bottle" but if I had to listen to it all day, it'd probably grind my gears "I Say A Little Prayer" - for a 1967 song, MAN it has held up well! "Relax" - I was between 0 and 1 year old when this came out, so I think it was burned into my ears as a baby "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" is iconic "Finesse" took me a while to get into! Everyone else seemed to love it from the start. "Fading Like A Flower" is one of my FAV Roxette songs! My Natalie!! Don't let JessieLou see this chart position for "Torn" And "All I Have" was a really nice sound.

1080. T'PAU - China In Your Hand *1988*Heart And Soul was the bigger hit here on this side of the Atlantic, which i really did like, but I preferred this one. 1079. OLIVER - Good Morning Starshine *1969*1078. LINDA RONSTADT - Hurt So Bad *1980*Linda is defiantly in my Top 3/4 favourite female vocalists. CARS - You Might Think *1984*Back in the day, this video was everything to me. I thought it was so clever. 1073. ARIANA GRANDE - Problem *2015*Like Finesse below, I would prefer this without the accompanying rapper 1072. NEIL DIAMOND - Desiree *1978*Neil is the first act to show up twice on this list. More Neil to come. 1071. SHERYL CROW - If It Makes You Happy *1996*1070. DURAN DURAN - New Moon On Monday *1984*Cool song. Cool video. And Simon Le Bon 1069. Jim Morrison definitely one of the most charismatic frontmen in rock. 1063. PAUL SIMON - Kodachrome *1973*1062. CELINE DION - Because You Love Me *1994*1061. KENNY ROGERS - Coward of the County *1980*This was a big song for me back in 1980. I do however, prefer his duets
