Although I was underwhelmed by Harry's House, I am happy for Harry Styles and thought he deserved the Grammy win for AOTY.
I also am getting extremely tired of everyone throwing a temper tantrum every time Beyonce' loses that award. The meltdowns were understandable when she lost to Beck in 2014, then it was a bit annoying when she lost to Adele in 2017 (I know Lemonade was a big album for her, but no way in hell was it bigger and more impactful than 25). But now it's straight up tired and sickening. I understand the concern about the Grammys not being inclusive of black people and I am still extremely confused why The Weeknd keeps getting snubbed despite
I agree, but she and Jay-Z are music's power couple, and until she wins one of the major categories, despite having won more Grammys now than any other artist, this will continue to be a "thing". I didn't care for Renaissance, only a few songs from it, and she stole dance artists' thunder by promoting it as a dance album, and then winning the two Grammys in that category. Her song "Cuff It" seems to be the beneficiary of the Grammys though, moving 15-6 on the Hot 100. Fewer people watch the Grammys now than five years ago, so its impact on the chart is much less.
The Weeknd apparently withdrew from the Grammys last year and this year, and will likely continue to do so. He has won 4 Grammys to date.
