Forgot to mention that you had the right artist, but the wrong title for song #202.

Yes! And now, after a five day break, we'll resume. But first, I'd like to ask a big favor. If you've been referring to the thread containing the #1 song guessing game that I posted about ten years ago - please use that only if you're completely stumped. This will help to preserve the element of surprise. Thanks in advance And now we enter the Top 200... 200) This was the second #1 for this rock band that, like many, tended to fare better on the charts with power ballads. 199) This was one of the biggest Adult Contemoporary hits of all time (before the BDS era, which IIRC, started in the summer of 1993). 198) The first Top 40 hit for one of the best known female country singers of all time. 197) Another country song here, released at the peak of this artist's crossover to pop, although this was their lowest peaking song during that time, stalling in the mid-20s. 196) This song was the first song that this artist's youngest child ever heard, just moments after his birth. GOOD LUCK!!

You were right on with #200 and #198.
199) This song topped the AC chart significantly earlier than the one you guessed, back when extra-long stays at the top of the chart were quite rare.
197) This was a female country singer with said pop crossover.
196) This was the top song of the year on the very Casey-hosted year-ender for this particular format.

Unfortunately, neither of those were correct.
199) This artist's first hit related to the Chinese zodiac.
197) This singer had quite a few more crossover hits than Crystal Gayle.
196) The man who sang this song was discovered by Lionel Richie.

Well, two out of three ain't bad. The only one you got wrong was #197 (remember - it's a female country singer, who wasn't quite as successful at Pop as Kenny Rogers. The song is about a plan for a midnight rendezvous.

That's the one!
195) This artist had two #1 songs on my chart. The first was near the beginning of the survey period and the second was an AC-only hit in the late 1980s.
194) This song was this Midwest band's first Top 40 hit as well as their first #1.
193) This song by a one-time trio is a true guilty pleasure!
192) The first hit by this band who had one of the biggest hits of the 1990s on both the Modern Rock and Alternative Rock charts in the mid-part of the decade (This was not that song, BTW).
191) One of the most successful Christian crossover artists ever. This was the follow-up to their only #1 AC hit.
GOOD LUCK!!

Those are all correct.
195) This artist had only one Top 40 hit (two, if you count their involvement in a duet later on that same year). In 1989, the artist had two AC hits and this was the first of them.
