1314: "Gimme Some Love" was '97 but you have the right artist. 1311 is correct!

1315. T-Spoon - Sex On The Beach (although it took me a long time to think of anything but Bleeding Guns Murphy's "Sax On The Beach"! ) 1314. Maybe "I Belong To You" then?

1315 - T-Spoon - Sex On The Beach (1997) - 13-yo me was bouncing around my room to this one, probably much to the horror of my parents if they happened to be listening to the lyrics from the other side of the door I don't even think I knew what sex was at that age. I was a late bloomer Either way, this was CUTE and catchy and ultra Summer-pop!
- I'm pretty sure I had this chick's cassette tape at one point in time, which is why I've heard so, so much of her music. This one got played and replayed to the max. Apparently she had an obscure track in 1992 that was her first single, so this was actually her third, after her massive hit that is still to come in the countdown And she's originally from where I live now!
1313 - Missy Elliott - Pass That Dutch (2003) - The funny thing I find about this track is how different the first verse is compared to the bridge and chorus It's like she's doing the typical hip-hop storytelling thing, and then BAM. But it was the chorus that made this track for me. I remember when I was little, I had a Missy Elliott album and I was reading through the insert and under her 'thank-you's', she'd written, "I'd like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." I was like Wasn't she just singing about drugs and one-minute men?
1312 - Lady Gaga feat. Beyonce' - Telephone (2010) - The music video that proved to us Lady Gaga didn't actually have a penis (duh), this was actually a pretty catchy number! It was a hell of a lot better than that trashpile "Videophone".
1311 - Martin Solveig & Dragonette feat. Idoling - Big In Japan (2011) - Loved, loved, LOVED this track from a few years ago. I mainly came across it because I was a big Dragonette fan. Ironally, this song charted quite well in European countries and Australia, but not so much in Japan, so I think they may have been lying
Coming up... (Rounding out the lower 200!)
1310 - The Queen Of Pop teams up with a Trinidad & Tibago rapper and another female rapper in this 2012 single. 1309 - An American rock band from Nebraska went down in history with this '96 alternative Billboard hit. 1308 - An Aussie country artist will only have this love-song once in his lifetime. 1307 - This Dutch dance group always felt like someone was watching them in 2006. 1306 - The first 2012 single from the fourth album by this Australian rock band.

Oh you guys are good! 1305 - Destiny's Child - Bootylicious (2001) - Loved this track from the girls in the second year of the Naughties. That constant background riff/beat and the lyrics just all worked. Love it.
1304 - Daft Punk - One More Time (2000) - Pretty much a world-wide Top 40 hit (except the US where it reached #61, wtf USA??), they have to be one of the best international house/electronica bands. I fouind this so catchy.
- What a beautiful song! And the EMOTION. Just wow. No wonder she broke-down in tears over it in a live performance. I hadn't heard of Demi before this single, but have fell in love since.
- How gigantic was this song from '09? 14 weeks atop the U.S charts, worldwide Top 5, mostly #1 hit. Just huge. It was simple and catchy enough to have all the makings of a hit. I loved it until my housemate at the time overplayed the living hell out of it, to the point it was the ONLY song he'd repeat over and over. So for me to only grow to hate a song from overplaying is pretty impressive.
- I must say, I'm very impressed this was guessed correctly. It was only a Top 10 hit here in Australia but I was obsessed with this guy's music at the time (and, let's face it, I probably had a huge crush on him too lol). Such a great tune. So much so that the rap even works as the verses.
Top 1300 Coming up...
1300 - This American hip-hop recording artist wants her men to last longer in bed. 1299 - Australian electronic dance group's scratchy-turntable single that charted in Australia and went Top 20 in the U.K in 2000. 1298 - Aussie pop-punk boyband's first 2012 single, before they had their breakthrough single two years later. 1297 - This Female Aussie DJ had a cheeky 2012 single about objectifying men. She calls it "A fun song for the girls and the gay boys." 1296 - An American rock-band had this alternative love-song in 2013, the lead singer had written about her relationship with a member of New Found Glory.

I was obsessed with Emmanuel Carella's music too so that made it easy to guess. I hope 2Beautiful and Run To Me are still to come.
1298. 5SOS - Out Of My Limit? 1297. Random Skank - Big Banana (ewww) 1296. Paramore - Ain't It Fun?

TOP 1300!
1300 - Missy Ellitt feat. Ludacris - One Minute Man (2001) - To think today's tennyboppers didn't know who Missy Elliott was! Blasphemy! This is classic Missy at her finest. Loved and still love this one. "She look like a 5-minute, brotha!"
- This was another one of those rare tracks that was penned by the band just messing around at the time, and next thing they knew, they had a song. I think this is what music is all about, experimenting with different sounds and coming up with something like this, that ended up going top 20 in the UK. It took me a while to get into this one because there was a lot going on in this, but they way they pieced it all together I thought was impressive. "Can you think of anything else that talks?" "Errrm... a record?"
- Anyone remember when I was charting this and numerous other 5SOS tracks that never charted? No? Well I do. And look at them now biatches! Check out how young they look in this. Can't believe it's been three years, and they just debuted at #2 on my current chart so they aren't going anywhere anytime soon
1297 - Havana Brown feat. R3hab & Phophet - Big Banana (2012) - Okay, I know it's repetitive as hell, but anyone who knows me knows that I was gonna chart this And the fact I saw her live on stage, and me and my friends were wearing shirts that said, "I've got a big banana!" with pictures of bananas on them and she pointed at us and laughed, probably helped This is catchy, people! C'mon now. Men have objectified women for years in music. It's hilarious to hear it done the other way around "Do you have a big banana? Gim-gim-gim-gim-me-ah!"
1296 - Paramore - Still Into You (2013) - I actually wasn't into Paramore all that much in their early/Indie days, but a heck of a lot of friends were. I decided to see what all the fuss was about and I still wasn't that convinced. Then this little number was released, and I was like, "Hey! Wait a minute. This is good!" Who knew they'd make my countdown after all Hayley looks gorgeous in this and hits some impressive notes! What a great message to put in a rock song.
Coming up...
1295 - You might dance to this similar-sounding third song from an Aussie songstress, which reached the top 75 on the ARIA charts. 1294 - All the other kids loved this American Indie pop band's 2011 single. 1293 - The Top 40 debut 2010 single from this American singer-songwriter, which was promoted on "So You Think You Can Dance" before she even had a record deal. 1292 - This American recording artist had a 2010 single where she acts like an animal stuck in a giant cage in the music video. 1291 - A U.S. Billboard-dance #1 track from 2011 from this Dominican-American recording artist.
