I am not normally one for lists. But this one is decent. I don't agree with everything, but it's fairly spot on (especially with #1). Here's a link to the Worst Pop Stars in History: A Top 20 Ranking: www.nme.com/photos/the-20-worst-pop-acts-in-history/229745#/photo/20Specifically, I disagree with three pop acts on this list. First, Crazy Town and Scouting for Girls are not "pop acts" in my opinion. Perhaps pop music came from these artists, but that doesn't make them "pop artists." Secondly, what's wrong with Shayne Ward? I don't think he's fantastic or anything, but certainly better than some of the $hit on this list. Final thought, do you remember when "Where's the Love" owned the radio and Black Eyed Peas had fantastic lyrics? I barely remember those days. They became crap. I'm so glad this list realizes that and recognized them appropriately.

20 - I was never a HUGE fan of them but they weren't that bad. "Swear It Again" was cute. 19 - He's an asshole but I always loved "Ice Ice Baby". 18 - Who?? 17 - Who?? 16 - Definitely agree with this one. 15 - OMG WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE 14 - "We Like To Party" is still a bop. Aside from that though I was never really into them. 13 - More people I've never heard of. 12 - I heard a song from them last year through the M4B worst videos contest and thought it was terrible. Sorry Lisa-Gail > Madonna. 11 - I hated "Butterfly" when it first came out but I like it now. I'm more annoyed at the Chili Peppers shade in the commentary than Crazy Town's placement on this list though. 10 - I think I've heard a song from them before but I don't remember. 9 - See #10. 8 - See #15. 7 - See #15 again. 6 - Oh I remember him! He was cheesy. 5 - OH LAWD. 4 - If I recall I didn't like them. 3 - I want to hate on him for the Katie Price association, but I don't remember this guy for the life of me. 2 - AGREED! I liked some of their early stuff but they are awful now. Only recent song of theirs that I cared for was "Just Can't Get Enough". 1 - Agreed with this too! I only liked "Boyfriend" from him, and "Beauty And The Beat" was okay.

I usually don't like these lists because it's always based on one person's opinion (unless they've taken a vote, but those results are still not good either) and nobody else's opinion is as good as mine! However, I've been tagged, so let's see who I love is being hated on here! 20. Westlife - I'm not guilty about the things I like but if you were to pick someone as a guilty pleasure of mine it could be them. Their originals before they essentially became a full-time cover band are almost all great, and I probably like more of their songs than I do the songs of any of the other late '90s and early '00s boy bands. 19. Vanilla Ice - Easy choice I guess. I have no real opinion on him. 18. Scooch - I guess this list is British. They seem like they'd be a British novelty group but I've never heard of them. 17. Daphne & Celeste - Well, UGLY I still enjoy, but they were rather terrible. 16. Rebecca Black - Friday was once to me what 3 Second Rule is now. Her other attempts at music were bland. She's really not relevant enough to even be here. 15. David Sneddon - ? 14. Vengaboys - They had some fun tracks but for the most part I didn't get into them. We Like To Party is ace however. 13. One True Voice - ? 12. Vanilla - Hahahaha. No Way No Way was the originator of my love of utterly terrible songs. Considering they were apparently formed as part of a challenge to get the worst song possible into the UK Singles chart, they would deserve their spot here, but again, are they relevant enough with only two singles (that I'm aware of anyway!)? Nice tag JessieLou, I thought #12 would be someone I loved. 11. Crazy Town - Oh, I really like Butterfly. So catchy. Did they have any other songs? 10. Another Level - Their Freak Me cover sucked and I never heard anything else from them. 9. A1 - Oh, no way! Caught In The Middle is an amazing boyband ballad and enough for me to be annoyed at their placing on here. But it seems to be that they want to list every British boy band ever that aren't Five/5ive (watch them be coming soon now! ) 8. Scouting For Girls - Not even sure they're pop, but if you just count pop as popular, then I guess. She's So Lovely is an excellent song and I like most of the others I've heard from them too. Don't belong here. 7. Fast Food Rockers - I remember hearing The Fast Food Song about fifteen years ago and it was just novelty. I don't really think novelty acts have a place on these lists because they're not designed to be good. The song was crap though. 6. Shayne Ward - If he's a love of @xfer I probably listened to him at some point but I don't remember what he's like. Probably inoffensive. 5. The Cheeky Girls - Cheeky Song was awful but again, they're novelty and probably shouldn't be on here. They weren't trying to be good. Will we see Los Del Rio and Las Ketchup soon? 4. Jedward - I remember hearing about them but I never listened to a song. I feel like they were novelty too. 3. Peter Andre - I loved his songs when I was 7/8 and he was starting out. He seems like he was a complete douche as a person but he had some decent songs. 2. Black Eyed Peas - They have become terrible. Occasionally here and there they have a song I kind of enjoy but they haven't been any good for a very long time. 1. Justin Bieber - I should have known. Such an easy and pandering choice. I'm not a massive fan though I have liked a couple of his songs, but he's really not the worst pop star ever. If you're including artists like The Cheeky Girls and The Fast Food Rockers in your list, then they should rightfully be higher than Bieber.

20. I don't mind a few Westlife songs, though I find them overrated in the UK. 19. "Ice Ice Baby" is a classic but he was too much of a flash in the pan. 18. From Scooch, I only know their Eurovision song, it was ok, I don't see what's so bad about it. 17. "U.G.L.Y." is so bad, it's good. 16. Totally agreed, "Friday" alone warrants her position in here. "In Your Words" was ok. 15. Who? 14. Vengaboys were a guilty pleasure for me, their songs were catchy. 13. Who? 12. Who? 11. "Butterfly" was good, but there's a reason why they were a one hit wonder. 10. Who? 9. I liked "Caught In The Middle", and I think another song of theirs. 8. I liked "This Ain't A Love Song" but don't know much else of them. 7. Total guilty pleasure, I actually liked the Fast Food Rockers. 6. Shayne Ward has had a few good songs, I'm sure @xfer will complain about his position here as he'd totally be one of his British superheroes. 5. Cheeky Girls, much like Fast Food Rockers, were a guilty pleasure for me. 4. Totally agreed, Jedward are cheesy and not in a good way! 3. Not a Peter Andre fan, really. 2. Totally agreed if it's 2009-present, they have REALLY sucked. I do like some old Black Eyed Peas stuff though. 1. Aww he's not THAT bad. I actually like a few Bieber songs though I don't rate most of his stuff highly.

Like JT, I'm usually not one for making lists (outside of my own weekly personal chart). And when it comes to making lists with negative themes, I'm a million times less a fan of lists. It's always seemed like a waste of time to me to wallow in and perpetuate negativity about something as entertaining as music is supposed to be. So, as I'm scanning the list, I'm seeing Vanilla Ice, Crazy Town, and Vengaboys and thinking, "Okay. NME is a British publication. There are only three acts that had any releases in North America on here so far. I've heard of and heard songs by some of these other acts. But this list is going to mostly celebrate 'bad' British Pop music." Then I got to the Top 2. Wow. The Top 2 is a big problem. How are The Black Eyed Peas even on this list? I agree somewhat with JT's point that they "became crap," except, I wouldn't put it that harshly. It was interesting to hear them explore EDM on The E.N.D. To center the next and final (for now) album around EDM again in 2010 was a mistake. To call them the 2nd worst Pop act in history - ahead of some of these other acts that could be considered borderline novelty acts - is to discount all of the great songs they released before all of the excess of their last album. "Where Is The Love" is one of the great songs of the past 15 years (maybe longer). And why in the hell does everyone always rip on "My Humps"? That's another great song. I've always found the post-popularity hate that gets thrown toward that song to be completely unfounded music snobbery. Close your eyes and play "Eenie Meenie Miney Moe" with their singles catalog and almost any song you land on is going to be a song that has been important to Pop music in the 2000s. As far as Justin Bieber being #1 on the list, I think the clowns who made this are living 2 years in the past, which just now made me notice that this list was made in 2011, judging by the date on all of the photos on the page. So we were only 2 years into "Bieber Fever" when this list was actually made and some of his best songs hadn't even been released yet. Anyway, overexposure and desirability to teenage and tweenage girls shouldn't be attributes used to compile the list. I like some of his songs, but I wouldn't consider myself a fan, so to speak. However, even counting his songs that I'm not particularly a fan of, Justin Bieber made - and may continue to make, we'll see... - good Pop songs. To wrap things up, "Wost Of..." lists almost always suck!

I think the #1 is the right choice if we're being honest. Some of these I never heard of but will not judge. Black Eyed Peas #2? They had that one incredibly, agitating, really annoying song in My Humps...but I don't think it warrants them #2. Top 20 yes, but #2?! I disagree.
Bieber I have never ever liked. I'd rather listen to the Ketchup Song back-to-back-to-back. LOL.

To wrap things up, "Wost Of..." lists almost always suck! Not always. The Ke$hit list trumps all worst ofs Alrighty: 20. Oh come on, they're good! 19. He's a punchline 18. Scooch just can never win can they? They're not the spawn of satan, but they do stink up the joint. 17. Who? 16. No more recognition for her please. 15. Who? 14. They're not bad, although they released something last year that I wasn't a fan of. 13. Who? 12. Who? 11. They had more than 1 song? 10. I've heard of them, but can't remember what they sounded like. 9. Only know Caught in the Middle and I liked it. 8. Who? 7. OH COME ON! THE FAST FOOD SONG IS A JAM! Although I understand the hate for them 6. Can't remember how he sounds 5. I remember The CHeeky Song. next. 4. A joke that just got unfunny after being told too many times 3. Who? 2. The Black Eyed Peas got to a point where william was recording himself going to the bathroom and it was going to the top 10. If I were making a similar list, they would easily be in my top 5. 1. It's too easy to hate on the Biebz. He does have some good stuff, you just gotta strip away the fake swag Usher coached him to having, and realize there is some raw talent there. The list is incomplete though considering a certain someone who has the dishonor of having an infamous worst of list named after them is missing

LOL!!!! Yeah, Shayne Ward IS AMAZING!!! (body, totally taken into account <3) No, really! He has amazing music, and he just released a second single from his most recent album. Check it out!!! Oh and Westlife? What's up with that? I agree they became a covers band and their last albums were a bore, but they still had a ton of great albums <3

scouting for girls don't deserve to be on this list especially for the reason mentioned but then again i am only familiar with one song of theirs!!!
i am in two minds about black eyed peas being on this list... they have given us some amazing songs with some really meaningful lyrics including my humps which is about body image but then when you see the rubbish they have released in more recent years i guess they do deserve a spot but not sure i would put them as high as #2!!!
i don't know if i agree with one hit wonder acts featuring either... crazytown have only had one hit!!!
vengaboys had some stellar hits but like the ones mentioned i guess they deserve to be low on the list!!!
good to see westlife on this list... a band i find quite overrated as they mostly only did covers!!!
surprised people don't remember the fast food song... it got annoying pretty quick!!!
peter andre was always rubbish... funky junky alone should have earned him a spot in this list!!!
this list is bang on with it's #1!!! concert or no concert, his songs are boring, annoying and so over-rated!!!
nikki webster should have been included on this list!!!
