I just listened to Like A G6 - Far East Movement feat. Cataracs & Dev for the first time in a few years, and it inspired me to make this thread
I think the most forgettable is Do I Make You Proud - Taylor Hicks it only lasted for 8 weeks and it didn't even make the year end top 100
What do you think were some forgettable #1 Songs?

Going by R&R/Mediabase, I'm sure @wife will say "Save Tonight" by Eagle-Eye Cherry.

Do I Make You Proud - Taylor Hicks
I like that song a lot. To this day, I’m still surprised that he didn’t do better afterwards. After winning American Idol, at a time when the show was still hugely popular, he should have done better. Seems like the industry just didn’t want to support him.
There are so many forgettable #1s in the 1990s, I probably could fill a page..

Mr Know It All - Kelly Clarkson and Ass Back Home - Gym Class Heroes are the first two that come to mind. Neither deserved to be #1.

"Who Let The Dogs Out" by Baha Men went to number #1 in Australia and New Zealand in 2000. Crazy Frog went to the top here also.

I find it is still in consistent rotation at events around the word. Just this year I've heard it at a Houston Rockets game, soccer match in Brazil, and at a beach party in Turks & Caicos. That song was/is awesome! It's the Baha Men who only had one hit - but it isn't a forgettable one!

Awww, first time listening to Taylor Hicks' song and... what happened there? The song is really good. I agree, the industry just didn't want to support him

What's with all the Hicks hate? I dislike him as well, but I still love the song and still listen to it today. American Idol's winner singles were guilty pleasures.
