Well, that was almost a clean sweep. The only one you had wrong was #965.

Time for my other guess:
Anna Nalick - Breathe (2 AM)?

That one is actually wrong as well.
It was the artist's first hit, then after two Top 20 hits in a row. the artist released it and it peaked a little higher than it did in its first run.

You got it!
960) The second and last single from a member of a band that was popular around the turn of the century, which peaked 20 spots lower than the first.
959) This song, by an edible relative, must have re-entered the AT20 chart at least three or four times.
958) The only song on the countdown by an act whose name is seen in many chat rooms.
957) An affirmative.
956) The final Top 20 hit from one of the biggest acts of the 1990s. The title of the song is very close to one of the other four in this set.
GOOD LUCK!!

^Your answer says it all!
955) With three artists getting credit, the title of the song seems contradictory.
954) Another trio, the head of which sampled a classic oldie for his/her first hit.
953) Something you might call on the moon in the morning.
952) One of the accusations Phil Collins mentions in the Genesis song "That's All"
951) One of the longest song titles of the decade, by a group known for their long titles.
GOOD LUCK!!
