Hello brothas! Welcome to the M4BCC Song Contest 2014 results show. I'm JessieLou, your host. Round 1 has finally come to a close and now we get to find out the results, so to quote my favorite Black Eyed Peas song, LET'S GET IT STARTED IN HERE!
First, I would like to call John, Matt, and Mike to the stage. John, you submitted Song 1, "Young Love" by Jesse McCartney. Matt, you submitted Song 5, "Marlboro Lights" by Natalia Kills. Mike, you submitted Song 10, "And Then He Kissed Me" by The Cardigans. Two of you are safe, and one of you is in the bottom three. John, I have great news for you - not only are you safe, but your song was ranked the highest this week, including four first place rankings. Congrats brotha! Now Matt, I know you're nervous right now, and you have every right to be, because you now have to worry... about submitting your song choice for next week, because you're safe! Mike, I'm sorry, but you're in the bottom three this week.
Now let's bring Julian, Kim, and... erm, myself, onto the stage! Julian, you submitted Song 6, "A Million Miles" by Kylie Minogue. Kim, you submitted Song 3, "Thinking About You" by Dear Rouge. Me, I mean, Jessica, you submitted Song 7, "Tell It To Her" by Pat Benatar. And you can all sit right back down because you're all safe! I'd also like to mention that Kim's song had five first place rankings this week, so congrats!
Now I would like to bring Cody, Bryan, and Brady onto the stage. Cody, you submitted Song 8, "Julia" by Our Lady Peace. Bryan, you submitted Song 2, "Hesitation" by Stacie Orrico. Brady, you submitted Song 9, "The Patient Ferris Wheel" by The Gaslight Anthem. You three can also sit down because not only are you all safe, but you ALL received at least one first place ranking - Bryan and Brady each had one, and Cody had two. Great job!
Now let's bring Green Baron, Sam, Ari, and Joel onto the stage. Two of you are safe and two of you will be joining Mike in the bottom 3. Green Baron, you submitted Song 13, "Stranger Ways" by Anberlin. Sam, you submitted Song 12, "The Whistle" by Kidda. Ari, you submitted Song 4, "The Dance: Holokaftoma" by Diamanda Galas. Joel, you submitted Song 11, "Superstar" by RuPaul. Green Baron, rock songs have gotten a very positive response this week as proven by the submissions from Kim, Brady, and Cody, has history repeated itself with your song? The answer is... yes, it has. GB, you are safe this week! Joel, you won the last two song contests - the one from last year and the one from 2007 - so you have a pretty hot track record. Will history repeat itself with your submission for this week? The answer is... unfortunately, in your case, history has NOT repeated itself, as you are joining Mike in the bottom three this week.
That just leaves Sam and Ari, both of whom were both in the bottom three when I posted midweeks earlier this week. Sam, I have three words for you... just flaunt it. You're safe this week! Ari, I'm sorry, you will be joining Mike and Joel in the bottom three.
Before we begin the Elimination Round, I will ask that ALL of you submit your songs for next week to me...even Ari, Mike, and Joel. The three of you will also need to submit new Elimination songs, since the one you submitted last week will now be used. The rest of you ONLY have to submit your next choice for your competition song to me. Whoever gets knocked out during the Elimination Round will obviously not have their song continue on to Round 2. Your song submissions are due by 11:59pm EST on Sunday, October 12th. If you don't submit your song to me by the deadline, you'll be automatically eliminated from the Song Contest.
Now, here are the three songs submitted for this week's Elimination Round:

Song 2: www.youtube.com/watch?v=eHAt82UvJ8E
Song 3: www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9W9Kc_u0nk
Since this is the first Elimination Round, here are the rules:
- As participants in this week's Elimination Round, Ari, Mike, & Joel will not be permitted to vote. If they do vote, they will have 3 votes deducted from their song's total votes.
- As with the main rounds of the Song Contest, no one is allowed to reveal the identities of the songs or who submitted each song.
- At the end of voting 11:59pm EST on Sunday, October 12th, the two participants whose songs have the most votes will move on to Round 2. The participant with the least amount of votes will be eliminated.
- The songs for Round 2 of the M4BCC Song Contest will be posted at the end of the Elimination Round.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, concerns, or angry rants, feel free to post them here or PM me. Okay, maybe not so much the angry rants part, but you get the picture.
Good luck to our 3 participants this week!
