Matt and I had a brief exchange about this very thing in one of my chart threads a few weeks ago... music.msn.com/music/article.aspx?news=884885Sia often hides identity over fame fearsSinger/songwriter Sia insists she will continue performing with her back to the audience because she doesn't want to be famous. The Australian star conducted her latest TV interview on Chelsea Handler's show "Chelsea Lately" with her face out of sight and explained she has no intention of becoming a star. The "Chandelier" singer told the host, "All my friends that I write pop songs for are super-famous and it really f---ed them up. [Being] hunted, paparazzi style, that stuff doesn't appeal to me at all; I'm really private. I want to be able to get fat and pee by the side of the road." Sia has remained out of the spotlight during promotional duties for her latest album "1000 Forms of Fear," refusing to appear in the music videos and photographs and often performing with her back to the audience during TV appearances.

I think it's going to be harder and harder for her to keep her privacy...especially if she continues to become more and more famous internationally. The paparazzi are really aggressive. And, if you come out and say, "I don't want my picture taken. I don't want anyone to see me or my face," all the paparazzi - and probably overzealous fans, too - are hearing is, "Please take desperate measures to take a picture of me or film me doing something without me knowing it."
More power to her if she can actually figure out a way to hold on to her privacy, though!

It's more-so too little too late. We ALL know what she looks like from her earlier music video's. I guess she could do a 'Daft Punk' and start wearing a helmet? Or a DJ's From Mars and wear a smiley box on her head Can't blame her for not wanting to be famous.
