Another artist joined the club for me this week - Sum 41 got their first top 10 in 11 years with "Never There".

This week, two artists ended their droughts. Bruce Springsteen got his first top 10 in 17 years and O-Town got their first in 18 years.

I seem to be having a lot of these lately!
This week, both Jimmy Eat World and Mandy Moore got their first top 10 hits respectively since 2002!

After a few close calls earlier this year for artists with long top 10 droughts failing to reach the top 10, here's one that does... Tina Turner gets her first top 10 hit in 20 years, thanks to Kygo's remix of "What's Love Got To Do With It".

Forgot to mention, Laura Pausini got her first top 10 in 18 years with "Seen" a few weeks back. Her last top 10 was "Surrender" in early 2003!

Faithless now has a hard-to-beat record on my chart as "Synthesizer" became their first Top 10 hit since 1998 (and then reached #1!).

98 Degrees tied the record this week. They went 20 years, or 1068 weeks, from "My Everything", which was in my top 10 on February 18, 2001, to today where "Where Do You Wanna Go" enters the top 10. Tina Turner previously set the record last year, from "When The Heartache Is Over" being top 10 on February 6, 2000, to the Kygo remix of "What's Love Got To Do With It" on July 26, 2020.

While it isn't the longest gap on record, 9 years away from the top 10 for Swedish House Mafia is still quite impressive. As their collaboration with The Weeknd, "Moth To A Flame", reaches my top 10 this week, their last time in the top 10 was on September 16, 2012 on their collaboration with Usher, "Numb".

I need to go through the archives and see them all, but this year Joey McIntyre scored his first top 10 in 22 years with his duet with Debbie Gibson. "Lost In Your Eyes" peaked at #9. His last top 10 was "I Love You Came Too Late" which peaked at #9 in 1999.

Again, not near a record, but the last time that Big Time Rush was in my top 10 was on September 16, 2012 with "Windows Down". That changed this week as "Not Giving You Up" has become their first top 10 in nearly a decade!

Not the record but worth noting that Mary J Blige ended a 13-year drought for my top 10 with "Good Morning Gorgeous." Her last top 10 was in 2009 collabing with Musiq Soulchild on "Ifuleave."

The Wanted scored their first top 10 this week with "Stay Another Day" since "Glad You Came" peaked at #6 back in 2012.
Hanson took 20 years between top 10 hits. After "MMMBop" peaked at #2 in 1997, they hit the top 10 again in 2017 with "I Was Born" peaking at #8.

The boyband Five went to #3 back in 1999/2000 with "When I Remember When." This week their song "Reset" moves into the top 10 at #9, ending an over 22-year drought.
