Another update for me: Robbie Williams recently got his first top 10 in over 14 years with "Run It Wild". His last before that was "Feel" in 2003!

Mine's probably Toni Braxton, my current no. 1 - she also hit #1 back in 1996 with "Unbreak My Heart", so that's 22 years.

Two big adds for me this week: Hall and Oates earn their first Top 10 in 16 years with "Philly Forget Me Not." And that's nothing compared with Kylie Minogue; though she's had several songs peak between Nos. 11 and 15, "Dancing" becomes her first Top 10 hit for me since "It's No Secret" in 1989, 29 years ago!

I was reminded of the existence of Fastball's "I Will Never Let You Down" in 2017, which made my top 10. It was their first top 10 for me since "Out Of My Head" in 1999, making it an 18-year gap.

And we have yet another long-standing top 10 drought ending this week! Whitney Houston gets her first top 10 in over 19.5 years - I think this takes the cake! - with "Higher Love".

My post is updated with same, and yes I believe this is the record on my chart, although qualified since Higher Love is a posthumous release.

Four standouts just from this year: 19 years - Backstreet Boys ("The One" in 2000; "No Place" in 2019) 16 years - Celine Dion ("I Drove All Night" in 2003; "Flying On My Own" in 2019) 15 years - Tegan And Sara ("Monday Monday Monday" in 2004; "I'll Be Back Someday" in 2019) 14 years - Elton John (""Ghetto Gospel" in 2005; "Never Too Late" in 2019)
