Me:Phil Hellmuth, 10-time bracelet winner at the WSOP joins us. He'll take us to #6. Phil:I don't get #1? Oh crud. At #6 is another Rookie contender. ALBUM: 6. Paula Deanda - Doing Too Much (MWC:#10 <2,706, 3@1>, IDRL:#6, AIRPLAY:#7) (1,194,322)Doing Too Much had one hell of a run this year by hitting #1 a lot of times. This song was top 5 everywhere it went. Paula Deanda ends her 2006 endchart appearances with this hot song that should've been a top 10 hot 100 hit ends up at #6. While she was red-hot and dangerous, she kept it calm and winds up with the #6 song of 2006. LYRICS: "Doing Too Much" (feat. Baby Bash)

SPECIAL PERFORMANCE:Diane Henry (wtf?) - Breakaway Me:When could she sing? We have only 5 songs left! Vanessa Rousso gets us to our next video. Vanessa R:I'm an ace in the making, don't worry. At #5 is one of 2005's powerful songs. ALBUM: 5. Anna Nalick - In The Rough (MWC:#8 <2,805, 4@1>, IDRL:#4, AIRPLAY:#5) (1,296,366)If looks were a weapon, she'd be a chainsaw or maybe a sharp knife. Don't let that fool you because she is sweet. This was #19 on the 2005 endchart but that was the album version that did the damage. The video version was her power source this year and racked up 4@1 very quickly with 76/90 shows on the MWC countdown. She also hit #1 about 30 times in 2006 with this song on IDRL. All that success and it's good enough to garner the #5 song of 2006. LYRICS: You say you fell while holding diamonds in your hands "It's your fault for running, holding diamonds," I said And I offer no sympathy for that I hear that it was you who died alone And I offer no sympathy for that Better off I sparkle on my own
And someday love will find me in the rough Someday love will finally be enough
I turned around 3 times and wound up at your door Now you say you know all you did not know before And I offer no sympathy for that I hear that it was you who died alone And I offer no sympathy for that Better off I sparkle on my own
And someday love will find me in the rough Someday love will finally be enough
I got your love letters I threw them all away And I hear you think that I'm crazy I'm driving 95 And I'm driving you away And I shine a little more lately
Someday love will find me in the rough Someday love will finally be enough
Someday love will find me in the rough Someday love will finally be enough
I shine a little more lately IDRL STATS:373 days, 32 days at #1 (Debuted in 2005 @ #1) <IDRL Rating:4th out of 400> MWC STATS:76 shows, 4 times at #1, 2,805 total points (Debuted Episode 1 @ #1, Fell Off on Episode 77) <MWC Rating:8th out of 394> Song Plays On Last.FM:310 (#4, behind Rush, Doing Too Much and It's All You) VIDEO LINK: www.youtube.com/watch?v=4e1RqWij-zMFor Anna to be #5 on my year-end after starting the year at #1, it's quite something....and possibly rivals It's All You. Me:Annie Duke is next. Annie:Wow. You can make an argument for Song Of The Year out of these 4 left. Here's the #4 song of the year. ALBUM: 4. Stacie Orrico - I'm Not Missing You (MWC:#2 <3,738, 2@1>, IDRL:#5, AIRPLAY:#4) (1,368,200)Stacie Orrico scores another top 10 finish on the endchart for the third time in the last 4 years. This time the song to do it is I'm Not Missing You, her comeback single at the age of 20. While she's been around for 6 years, she's been in the IDRL/MWC spotlight for 3 years. She finished 2nd on the MWC pts leaderboard and raced with Melissa O'Neil until the very end while getting 2 times at #1 on there. Overall she finishes with the #4 song of 2006. LYRICS: Oh, Oh I'm not missing you Been through just about everything that I could go through When it comes to relationships Don't know what I was missing or why I ain't listen When I told myself that was it Now here I go, hurt again Cause of my curiousity Now that it's over What else could it be _____
I made a promise never to settle Why didn't I keep it? Cause I hated the heartbreak Crying and cheating, the fooling around
CHORUS (But) I'm not missing you I'm not going through the motions Waiting and hoping you call me I'm not missing you You might have had me open But I must be going because I got life to do I know I'm usually hanging on I used to hate to see you gone But this time it's different I don't even feel the distance I'm not missing I'm not missing you
It's a shame in a way cause I feel that I may not ever find the right one for me Did I leave him, is he right in front of my face oh Will my true love ever be? Why would I go on a search again When I know what the end will be What good is love when it keeps on hurting me?
I made a promise never to settle Why didn't I keep it? Cause I hated the heartbreak Crying and cheating, the fooling around
Chorus x 2
No I can't be with you Cause I'm scared felt like I was falling when you left me I can't keep going through life Unaware of what I missed And the person I could be Love's good when it's right And when it's left in your memory All the times I let you down I guess love will be nice for someone else's life
(But) I'm not missing you I'm not going through the motions Waiting and hoping you call me I'm not missing you You might have had me open But I must be going because I got life to do I know I'm usually hanging on I used to hate to see you gone (I used to hate it) Oh different, oh feel the distance I'm not missing I'm not missing you
I'm not going through the motions Waiting and hoping you call me (knockin' at my door) You might have had me open But I must be going because (it's the best day of my life) I know I'm usually hanging on I used to hate to see you gone Oh different, feel the distance I'm not missing I'm not missing you I'm not missing you (oh baby) I'm not missing you I'm so over you It ain't even a problem IDRL STATS:225+ days, 5 days at #1 (Debuted @ top 5 in Summer 2006) <IDRL Rating:5th out of 400> MWC STATS:46 shows, 2 times at #1, 3,738 total points (Debuted @ top 20 on Episode 45, Last Seen on Episode 90 @ #5) <MWC Rating:#2 (Runner-Up) out of 394> Song Plays On Last.FM:220 (#16) VIDEO LINK: www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVehK3D9dGY <original version> www.youtube.com/watch?v=KGMHnS7QdbQ <new version> The fact that Stacie was literally 1 show away from clinching the 2006 Song Of The Year on the MWC, possibly the #1 song on the endchart.....that's gotta be frustrating. If it's any consolation, Stacie does beat Nelly in the Comeback Singer Of The Year race. Now it's down to Aly & A.J., Melissa O'Neil and Snow Patrol.

Me:This is way too close to call. Speechless, Chasing Cars and Rush are all battling for #1. Here's Ivette Corredero with the #3 song of the year. Ivette:Only 3 remain. Here's the #3 song of 2006. ALBUM: 3. Aly & A.J. - Rush (MWC:#7 <2,806, 8@1>, IDRL:#1, AIRPLAY:#2) (1,594,320)Aly & A.J. expected to finish the year on top, but in the last couple weeks they had to watch their chances slip away. Rush managed to not only pass Ashanti's song Only U for most days at #1 in IDRL history, but had pretty much an unstoppable amount by finishing with 100 days at #1. They spent 25% of their time at #1 on that chart, not to mention 8@1 on the MWC. What a year they had....but the only reason they're not #1 is because they didn't get enough support. It's like what happened to Unfaithful and S.O.S., but you cannot devalue this song's amazing year and it takes the bronze as the #3 song of 2006. LYRICS: Into your head, into your mind out of your soul, race through your veins You can't escape, you can't escape.
Into your life, into your dreams, Out of the dark, sunlight again. You can't explain, you can't explain.
Can You feel it, can you feel it, Rushin' through your hair, Rushin' through your head, Can you feel it, can you feel it,
Don't let nobody tell you, your life is over, Be every color that you are, Into the rush now, You don't have to know how, Know it all before you try.
Pulling you in, spinning you 'round, Lifting your feet right off the ground, You can't believe it's happening now.
Can You feel it, can you feel it, Rushin' through your hair, Rushin' through your head, Can you feel it, can you feel it,
Don't let nobody tell you, your life is over, Be every color that you are, Into the rush now, You don't have to know how, Know it all before you try.
It takes you to another place, imagine everything you can. All the colors start to blend, Your system overloads again.
Can You feel it?
Don't let nobody tell you, your life is over, Be every color that you are, Into the rush now, You don't have to know how, Know it all before you try.
Don't let nobody tell you, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Don't let nobody tell you, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Don't let nobody tell you, your life is over, Be every color that you are, Into the rush now, You don't have to know how, Know it all before you try
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah IDRL STATS:400 days, 100 days at #1, RETIRED (Debuted @ #1, Retired @ #1) <IDRL Rating:1st (Winner) out of 400> MWC STATS:76 shows, 8 times at #1, 2,806 total pts (Debuted @ #2 on Episode 1, Fell Off on Episode 77) <MWC Rating:7th out of 394> Song Plays On Last.FM:362 (#3, behind Doing Too Much & It's All You) VIDEO LINK: www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLdfKKArk94Me:It has come down to this. It's Snow Patrol v.s. Melissa O'Neil. Will the #1 song of the year be going up north to Canada? Will the #1 song of the year be going across the pond to England? Make your last minute guesses if you haven't bothered to predict yet. We'll reveal the top song of 2006, after this! *************** Me:Recap can be seen above. Now for the conclusion! Diane Henry gets us to #2. Diane:These 2 were neck-and-neck throughout as the top 2 supporting songs of the year. Melissa has a significant advantage, did she do it? One of you two guys is correct. Either Snow Patrol or Melissa O'Neil is #1.

Here's your runner-up for the year. ALBUM: 2. Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars (MWC:#6 <2,818, 2@1>, IDRL:#7, AIRPLAY:#3) (1,594,337)This was the top supporting song of the year. An incredible year Snow Patrol had as they almost pull off the biggest upset probably in IDRL/MWC chart history. They were 1 spot away, but it basically was a fantastic 2006 for Chasing Cars. While its IDRL success may not be the most spectacular at a #7 rank, they had the 3rd highest airplay, the 6th best on the MWC and tallied up 2,818 pts, 2 times at #1 and a total of 36 shows on the chart. Did I mention they were in and out of the top 10 numerous times? So close for this British band as they wind up with the silver and the runner-up mark by taking back to England with them, the #2 song of 2006. LYRICS: We'll do it all Everything On our own
We don't need Anything Or anyone
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
I don't quite know How to say How I feel
Those three words Are said too much They're not enough
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life
Let's waste time Chasing cars Around our heads
I need your grace To remind me To find my own
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world?
Forget what we're told Before we get too old Show me a garden that's bursting into life
All that I am All that I ever was Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see
I don't know where Confused about how as well Just know that these things will never change for us at all
If I lay here If I just lay here Would you lie with me and just forget the world? IDRL STATS:Unavailable <IDRL Rating:7th out of 400> MWC STATS:36 shows, 2 times at #1, 2,818 total points (Debuted Episode 55 @ #50?, Last Seen on Episode 90 @ #18) <MWC Rating:6th out of 394> Song Plays On Last.FM:113 (#58-tie, fewest among plays in the top 10) VIDEO LINKS: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8fq55sijxsg (Version 1) www.youtube.com/watch?v=lG_-L71DKz0 (Version 2) Stay tuned, the #1 song of 2006 is coming up, NEXT. So come on, you know who #1 is now do you? Come on.... Oh, do I have to tell you? Isn't it obvious? Hello? LOL Ok, enough! Me:That was Jade Anderson hinting around. No more time wasted. Here's your #1 song of the year, not a surprise to anyone. First, a thank you speech from the winner. THE SPEECH Melissa:Hey everyone. Thanks for making my song Speechless the #1 song of 2006. I love you all so much! Now just for you, the #1 song of the year from me. ALBUM: 1. Melissa O'Neil - Speechless (MWC:#1 <3,754, 12@1>, IDRL:#3 (36@1), AIRPLAY:#1) (1,943,206)What is left to be said? This song debuted at #1 on the MWC and racked up an incredible 3,754 pts, 12@1 (both records), 43 shows on the countdown (canada record), topped all airplay and lots of support with #2 overall. On the IDRL front, she finished 3rd with 36 days at #1 (and still going as we speak as she is now actually at 40@1), topped all IDRL airplay and scored lots of requests and votes. She left everyone speechless as the Canadian Idol 3 winner was basically on fire. To top it off, she never fell off the top 20 on the MWC in her 43 show run (another record). As it is, she takes home the gold, the honor and the Song Of The Year by finishing up as the #1 song of 2006 and wins the 2006 IDRL/MWC Title. Congratulations to our 18-year old canadian as she also becomes the youngest #1 artist on the endchart in history. LYRICS: I find I get lost for words around you Overwhelmed by your presence I feel the same, I hear the words you won't say Echo through your eyes Nothing more for me to say Silence understand some things What it meant to be, will be
[Chorus:] Sometimes it's the words we don't say that get in the way Time will break down the walls that we've built between us I won't ever be speechless
This feeling takes me just like a painted sky how do I describe all these colours inside Nothing left for me to say anyway
[Chorus:] Sometimes it's the words we don't say that get in the way Time will break down the walls that we've built between us I won't ever be speechless
I wanna know you inside out I want to know you without a doubt And though we're shy Would it be easier just to say goodbye I want to learn to read your mind I want to say the words but my tounge gets tied And don't feel shy Would it be easier just to say goodbye
I find I get lost for words around you Overwhelmed by your presence
[Chorus:] Sometimes it's the words we don't say that get in the way Time will break down the walls that we've built between us I won't ever be speechless IDRL STATS:212 days, 53 days at #1 (Debuted @ #1) <IDRL Rating:3rd out of 400> MWC STATS:43 shows, 12 times at #1, 3,754 total points (MWC Song Of The Year) (Debuted Episode 48 @ #1, Last Seen on Episode 90 @ #1) <MWC Rating:1st (Winner) out of 394> Song Plays On Last.FM:268 (#7) VIDEO LINK:Youtube doesn't have the video now www.vidking.com/music-vid-14463-Speechless.htmMe:Thanks to everyone who came by and made this possible.
