Time for the Top 10 I can honestly say its an excellent Top10 for me. I don't think any other song released this year could be number one than what is there now. ;D So without further adieu...The Top 10. 10, DIXIE CHICKS - Top Of The World #1-2 weeks There's a whole lot of singing that's never gonna be heard Disappearing everyday without so much as a word somehow Think I broke the wings off that little song bird She's never gonna fly to the top of the world right now Top of the worldThese lyrics seemed to foretell the Chicks' misfortune. After a turbulent year for the Dixie Chicks in 2003 and them capturing the top spot with "Travelin' Soldier" last year, the first number one song of 2004 is "Top Of The World" 9, HILARY DUFF - Come Clean #1-2 weeks Let the rain fall down And wake my dreams Let it wash away My sanity 'Cause I wanna feel the thunder I wanna scream Let the rain fall down I'm coming clean, I'm coming cleanThis song surprised me. It was pure pop minus the sleaze. Following the success of "So Yesterday" Hilary Duff did one better with this number one song "Come Clean". 8, KIMBERLEY LOCKE - 8th World Wonder #1-1 week Seven days and seven nights of thunder, The waters rising and I'm slipping under. I think I fell in love with the 8th world wonder.Definatly, my pick for the best most versatile American Idol Contestant of Season 2. Ironically at #8 is "8th World Wonder". 7, SARA EVANS - Perfect #1-1 week It's kinda nice to know that it doesn't have to be
Perfect Baby every little piece Of the puzzle doesn't always fit Perfectly Love can be rough around the edges tattered at the seams But honey if it's good enough for you It's good enough for meCertainly, the top country artist for me for the year. Sara is definatly one of the strongest country female out there. Coming in at number 7 is "Perfect" 6, AVRIL LAVIGNE - My Happy Ending #1-2 weeks You were everything, everything that I wanted We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it And all of the memories, so close to me, just fade away All this time you were pretending So much for my happy ending Oh oh, oh oh, oh oh...Proving, she is no one album wonder, Avril had an amazing year with 3 consecutive hits. The biggest finishes at number 6 "My Happy Ending" 5, SARAH CONNOR - Bounce #1-2 weeks Bounce baby out the door I ain't gonna take this no more Bounce baby out the door Get up and move Don't make me act a fool Just bounceThis song won't change the face of music. Its just a simple pop record with a killer hook. "...bounce baby out the door". Kicking off the Top 5 at number 5 is "Bounce" 4, ALICIA KEYS - If I Ain't Got You #1-2 weeks I almost didn't chart this song. It took me awhile to get into this song....But when I did get into it....WOW! This girl, Alicia, is the future of pop music. Finishing in at number 4 "If I Ain't Got You" 3, SHANIA TWAIN & MARK McGRATH/BILLY CURRINGTON - Party For Two #1-3 weeks It doesn't matter what you wear 'Cause it's only gonna be you and me there (Whoa!)
I'm having a party A party for two Invitin' nobody Nobody but youShania recorded this song with both Mark McGrath and Billy Currington and the results are almost identical. A fun record, and even better video. I cannot tire from this. Number 3 is "Party For Two" 2, NO DOUBT - It's My Life #1-2 weeks Oh, It's my life Don't you forget Oh, It's my life It never ends (It never ends...)This is a total surprise for me. I would have never thought No Doubt would have done so well. I'm not a big fan of their early work and I'm not even a big fan of the original by Talk Talk. But something happened. The comblination clicked in a big way. So big that at number 2 is "It's My Life" And Now the Number One Song of the YEAR. 1, CORRS - SUMMER SUNSHINE #1-3 WEEKS In the heat of summer sunshine I miss you like nobody else In the heat of summer sunshine I kiss you, and nobody needs to knowOf all the songs released this year, this is definatly my song of the year. The Corrs have always done well with me and this song was no exception. A killer hook and constant play in the summertime combined with a good summer for me the number one song was without a doubt "Summer Sunshine" Now...lets get on to 2005 ;D

Fantastic no. 1, great to see Shania Twain and Alicia Keys in the top 5. The biggest suprise for me is Simply Red near the top 10, nevertheless a good song.
