Don't worry, Ben is a nice young man, I will never get tired hanging out with him... unless... Ben+nice in the same sentence don't work that much...

I saw it and had a few chuckles. The ending was pretty predictible, but I'm sure they ended it that way because that's how the viewers wanted it.
I think it's open-ended, especially Joey's character so they can have anything go during the Joey spinoff. Do we have the next Frasier here?

Do we have the next Frasier here? I really hope so. I don't, of course, think it will be around long then Friends....but I'd love to see a 5-7 season run..

Honestly, I was disappointed by the finale. More so than I was by the "Survivor: All Stars" finale, and I HATED that whole season!
Yes, I like the fact that Ross and Rachel ended up together in the end, but that was going to happen, no question. That relationship has been around for the past 10 years, and if they didn't end up together after everything -- Ross saying Rachel's name instead of Emily's, their drunken wedding in Vegas, the birth of their daughter -- then the show would have had the worst finale ever. (come to think about it, does anybody find it interesting that Ross' ex's name in Emily, and his daughter is Emma?)
I think that the show went downhill when Monica and Chandler got together, probably because they always had the most interesting relationships. Monica had Richard, Chandler had Janice. I like how both Richard and Janice ended up appearing several times following their respective break-ups, but confining two of 6 characters to one relationship... that really cut back their possible storylines.
The final seasons of the show were really boring. Does anybody remember when Ross ended up getting the uber-tan in the spray-on tan booth, and everyone laughed? Does that remind anyone of the storyline a few seasons back when Ross attempted to whiten his teeth, resulting with them being incredibly white.
I was soooo disappointed that Pheobe had such a crappy storyline in the final episode! I mean, what the hell did she do besides drive Ross all over? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. She had, maybe, 4 minutes of on-screen time with her husband, Mike? Did her entire series storyline wrap up 4 months ago when she wed? Was that he role on the show -- just to be the blonde girl who can't keep a boyfriend? I would have loved to see how Phoebe blended in with Mike's upper-class family. I would have liked to know what Phoebe was doing career wise. Hell, I would have liked to know if Phoebe was going to get pregnant. It kinda ended with Mike saying he wanted a child, Phoebe agreeing, and that's about it.
I have no complaints about Joey. I think that over 10 seasons, he matured, and his storyline is nowhere near over as he spins off to his own series, "Joey."
I'm disappointed, but hey, at least they weren't all arrested and thrown into jail.

It is wild that this forum is old enough to have a thread from when the Friends finale was airing Anyway, in light of the reunion, I want to say Friends is a great 'comfort food' 90s sitcom, much like The Nanny and Seinfeld. And I enjoy the Friends finale

I got around to watching the reunion yesterday. Very cute watching all the nostalgia and emotions.
