lmao! I totally just updated my years outdated #1s Excel file with the full intention of posting it in this thread and then I finished it (after working on it for about two hours) and totally forgot.
Ok, here goes. Artists who have hit #1 on The Max 100 chart never to chart again:
INOJ - Time After Time Crazy Town - Butterfly Wayne Wonder - No Letting Go Moldy Peaches - Anyone Else But You Mr. Probz - Waves
(I didn't count featured artists like Wanz or Priscilla Renea)
It also happens that every artist who hit #1 and didn't chart after that also didn't chart before that either. They're all one-hit-wonders on my chart. Every other #1 I've ever had was followed up in some way with a song that made the Top 100.

I'm only going to include the ones who also never charted before that: The Drugs - The Bold And The Beautiful Elan - Midnight Anita Spring - Blink (Stay A Little Longer) Eamon - f*ck I* (I D*n't Wa*t Yo* Ba*k) Seether - Broken (featuring Amy Lee) Stereophonics - Dakota (shameful to me since I love them, they just never got any attention here except for this one, so I never heard anything until it was too late to chart.) Sick Puppies - All The Same Cobra Starship - Good Girls Go Bad Graffiti6 - Free Sleigh Bells - Comeback Kid The Lumineers - Ho Hey The 1975 - Sex Tom Odell - Another Love Max Frost - White Lies Hozier - Take me To Church

The first 8 are not confirmed as I do not have every chart. Also, I have taken some hiatuses, which explains artists like Avril Lavigne who have not charted since.
Foo Fighters - Long Road to Ruin Avril Lavigne - Hot Belly - Ridin' (feat. Mario Winans) [Mario Winans never charted again] Finger Eleven - I'll Keep Your Memory Vague City and Colour - Waiting... Enur - Calabria (feat. Natasja) [both never charted again] Raven-Symonè - Double Dutch Bus Faber Drive - When I'm With You --------------------------------------------- Weezer - Pork and Beans [although Rivers Cuomo hit #1 with B.o.B] Cancer Bats - Hail Destroyer Jennifer Hudson - If This Isn't Love Emmalyn Estrada - Get Down Ashley Tisdale - Crank It Up Addictiv - Over It (Cry Baby) Leighton Meester - Somebody to Love (feat. Robin Thicke) [both never charted again] Cheryl Cole - 3 Words (feat. will.i.am) [Cheryl Cole never charted again] Jay-Z - Young Forever (feat. Mr. Hudson) [both never charted again] David Guetta - Gettin' Over You (feat. Fergie, Chris Willis, LMFAO) [Fergie never charted solo again, Chris Willis never charted again] B.o.B - Magic (feat. Rivers Cuomo) [both never charted again] Far East Movement & The Cataracs - Like a G6 (feat. Dev) [Far East Movement and the Cataracs never charted again] Dev - In the Dark

I was just saying the other day, OMI may be the third (?) artist to hit #1 and never chart again - unless he gets another hit soon. Crazy Town, Wayne Wonder, OMI.

UPDATE:
KSM - Read Between The Lines comes to mind immediately. After topping, and having #1 on my year-end chart, they never charted again. They went their separate ways a year later.

I'm going to limit this to artists who never hit the chart before or after their No. 1 hit (as opposed to those who had hit before going to the top and not returning...). Here are mine in order of their hitting the top, with a few notes at the bottom:
LeBlanc and Carr: Falling Chris Rea: Fool If You Think It's Over Clout: Substitute Frank Mills: Music Box Dancer McGuinn, Clark and Hillman: Don't You Write Her Off Roger Voudouris: Get Used to It David Naughton: Makin' It Chris Thompson: If You Remember Me Foghat: Third Time Lucky Benny Mardones*: Into the Night Johnny Lee: Lookin' for Love Jim Steinman***: Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through Diesel: Sausalito Summernight Sneaker: More Than Just the Two of Us Vangelis: Chariots of Fire Sylvia: Nobody Toni Basil: Mickey John Hunter: Tragedy USA for Africa**: We Are the World Godley and Creme: Cry David Foster***: Love Theme from 'St. Elmo's Fire' The Dream Academy: Life in a Northern Town Sly Fox: Let's Go All the Way Force MDs: Tender Love Timex Social Club: Rumors Georgia Satellites: Keep Your Hands to Yourself The System: Don't Disturb This Groove T'Pau: Heart and Soul The Jeff Healey Band: Angel Eyes Jesus Jones: Right Here, Right Now The KLF featuring Tammy Wynette: Justified and Ancient The Smithereens: Too Much Passion Tom Cochrane: Life Is a Highway Truth Inc.: The Very Best of Me Lisa Keith: Better Than You Haddaway: What Is Love? BMU: You Will Know White Town: Your Woman Paul Varney: Open the Door to Your Heart Filter: Take a Picture Gran Torino: Moments With You Dexter Freebish: Leaving Town Vanessa Amorosi: Absolutely Everybody Jimmy Eat World: The Middle Razorlight: America Sam Sparro: Black and Gold Sean Kingston: Fire Burning Rie Sinclair & Friends: My Confession Kathy Griffin: I'll Say It Swedish House Mafia: Don't You Worry, Child Natalia Kills: Outta Time McFly: Love Is on the Radio Josh Krajcik: One Thing She'll Never Know Glenn Morrison featuring Islove: Goodbye J. Cole: Be Free OMI: Cheerleader (Remix) Disturbed: The Sound of Silence Ingrid Michaelson: Hell No Drive-By Truckers: What It Means Pussy Riot: Make America Great Again Scotty McCreery: Five More Minutes The Revivalists: Wish I Knew You Portugal. The Man: Live in the Moment
*A weird chart occurrence: Mardones hit twice with the same recording of the same song. “Into the Night” went to No. 1 in 1980 and then returned to hit No. 3 in 1989. (The song did the same trick in Billboard.) ** Although this was the only chart appearance for USA for Africa, most of the artists on the recording did hit the chart on their own. *** These artists never had another chart hit as performers but had huge success as producers and songwriters.
