I figured I could post the charts from the broadcasts here just because some people are like WHAAAA IS THIS PROGRAM? and STUFF.
Ok, from 2001-2003 Premiere issued a show to 80's stations (but it was also played on AC/Hot AC stations) called AT40 Flashback, which replayed American Top 40 charts hosted by Casey Kasem from 1980 to August 6, 1988 (Shadoe would take over after this until 1995 and then Casey would return in 1998). The first 8 shows of the series (January and February 2001) featured the whole show, and then Premiere decided it would better to market the show if they cut it to 3 hours. Stations also did not like a lot of the obscurities in the first hour. The shows then would start anywhere from 32-29.
In late March/early April 2002, Premiere cut all 1980 and 1981 AT40 shows from being flashbacks because of the obscure songs overall. Then, in December 2002, Premiere cancelled AT40 Flashback along with a few other shows. There have been rumors for what seems like forever that original AT40 shows would return to XM, and unfortunately, they never had and it doesn't look like they ever will be again. WMMX (in Dayton, OH) still plays the flashback shows on Saturday mornings from 7-10 AM EST, and it's always cool to hear the shows.
Anyway, this week they aired the 2/7/87 AT40 show (1/30 Billboard chart) originally broadcasted as a flashback in 2002.
