This list made me make a trip back to 1998, it certainly was a good year in music. You're telling me! I LOVE to see Tori Amos in there with 3 songs, and don't you agree that the cover picture of "Jackie's strength" is so beautiful? the video is also great, even if just because she looks so gorgeous! I tell Bryan and Rob and my brother and everyone that she looks gorgeous in the video all the time! ;d Great minds think alike. Oh, and "Raspberry Swirl" is still to come. And I HAVE to comment in other of my absolute favorites from all time: SEMISONIC!!! I am so glad they're on your list! I love those guys so much, I have 2 albums and an EP, I am still missing their first album, but that doesn't stop them from having one of the best 20 cds ever made. I remember seeing the Semisonic video on VH1 all the time in 1998 (yes, I watched VH1 when I was 8 ) and I loved the song so much! ;d

I don't know #4, #5 is okay, but #3 is one of my favorites of all time too, and #2 is also a favorite of mind, tho not as much.

Yes, good choice for number one. Recently I saw the video again on tv, and while it is still a great song, it lost the magic it had the first time I listened to it. Have you heard "She's a star" by James? I think it was from 1997, but if you like "Torn" I bet you'd love this one.
I'll be waiting for the top 100 of 1996!! ;D
