10, 9, and 8 are all songs I listen to regularly these days! Same here... all 3 of them are modern classics Glad you like them. I first heard the Mariah and Jann songs when they first came out. As for Sheryl, I don't remember.

So, what is my light-blinking #1 song of 1996? Well, it was pretty obvious if you ask me. I was (and still) painfully obsessed with this artist and spent 12 weeks at #1 on my chart with her last single, "Eight Easy Steps". This singer also happens to be my second favorite singer of all time. Now let me shut up and tell you what the #1 is. 1. Alanis Morissette - Ironic PEAK: #4I hope you enjoyed this special on my 50 favorite songs from 1996. Enjoy us next time when I count down my top 50 from 1999! ;d

Thinking about that year... R.E.M. - "E-bow The Letter" ... Jessica, do yourself a favor and download this REM song (and then you send it to me, cause I don't have it!! jajaja) a great song. And nice list! It is surprising that you like "Hey Jupiter" better than "Caught a lite sneeze"

And nice list! It is surprising that you like "Hey Jupiter" better than "Caught a lite sneeze" I never heard the R.E.M. song, but I am asking Bryan to download it and send it to me, since I don't have a P2P server. Canadians have all the luck! Thanks, Ari! ;d I love both "Hey Jupiter" and "Caught A Lite Sneeze"... but the video for "Hey Jupiter" really made me appreciate the song more - it's sooooooo beautiful!
