Check out Whitney Houston’s new song “I Didn’t Know My Own Strength,” off her highly-anticipated new album, I Look To You, out September 1. Here’s the lyrics to the chorus: “I didn’t know my own strength/ And I crashed down and I tumbled/ But I did not crumble/ I got through all the pain/ I didn’t know my own strength/ Survived my darkest hour/ My faith kept me alive/ I picked myself back up/ Hold my head up high/ I was not built to break/ I didn’t know my own strength.” FYI: Whitney, 45, will kick-off Good Morning America’s fall concert series in September! justjared.buzznet.com/2009/07/02/whitney-houston-i-didnt-know-my-own-strength/Whitney Houston is back with a new song called 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength.' What a powerful thing for Whitney to sing about after all she's been through. This is a great ballad for Whitney to use for her comeback, I like it! What about you? Will this song have her back on people's radars? Can you see her having commercial success with 'I Didn't Know My Own Strength'?

Whitney sounds different. I will give it a couple more listens but why is this not in the singles section given you have provided us evidence that it is her next single.

It sounds like one of those god-awful American Idol coronation songs.

The song is growing on me but i just read that this song is apparently not the lead single. I mean it wasn't really announced by Whitney or her label herself. This could just be like a promo song.

The single has changed! Word has it the Swizz Beats produced / Alicia Keys penned 'Million Dollar Bill' will serve as album's first single and is set to impact radio any time from now.
